Had a few days a while back but it hasn't been all that bad lately.

Oh and #stateoftheboard.

First one?

I don't think it's been too bad. There's nothing particularly major happening right now, is all.

Bring back Harold.

It's fine. It was always going to tail off a bit after the excitement of the new board wore off. Things are still miles better than they were towards the end of old TTH.

Exactly. If TTH hadn't died that time and forced this then it may have petered out already over there. Paris would have been the only thing that may have kept it going, it was dead on its feet.

At least this one works.

People are just waiting for my avatar thread to cap off the year in style. Understandably so.

Is GS going to do the first awards of the nuBoard?

Lewis
26-11-2015, 12:08 AM
I think we should stop doing awards.

Has GS posted more than 5 times outside the Paris thread since we moved?

It's not quiet but most of the posts are going into boring threads, by which I mean specialized threads for FM, the NFL, the Apprentice, WWE, Betting, Food, fat people, etcetera. None of which interests me very much.

I'm in the same boat as Spoon. There's been a few times when I've checked the forum and there's plenty of new posts, but they're all in the dull threads. Fantasy NFL, for fuck sake?

Toby

That thread seems to be at the top of the page all the time. How much can there really be to talk about?

Pepe
26-11-2015, 12:47 AM
The NFL threads are 95% Mahow talking to himself.

Same as that with the Uni, WWE, Politics, Paris, Books, etc.

But so what really? We like different stuff.

The new board has more interaction actually.

Others are actually involved now too

I think that probably as people get older they begin to have less and less in common, and what they do have in common gets more and more boring. Hence 20 pages of the Jobs thread.

I don't understand how fantasy anything is still going if I'm honest.

Keeps things interesting late in the season. It's a thing that's only getting bigger and bigger too.

Personally I can't be bothered with it, I wish we'd do a picks league.

This is the first time I've vaguely paid attention later than August and I'm bottom of the fucking tth league. Fuck fantasy football.

I'm not last for a change - swish. I set the team up and forget my password until a year later.

Maybe things would be more interesting if you didn't turn into such a housewife, Magic. Sitting on liveleak all day reminiscing about that swing you built for the bairn whilst waiting for the breadwinner to come home.

I spend 99% of my free time on Fallout 4, so have little time for TTH. Soz.

Toby

Yeah I suspect the fact we're all a bunch of nerds and both a new Fallout and a new Football Manager have recently been released is largely to blame.

Much the same here, FM14 - just starting season 2025/06 - and just chilling out.

The two I live with are away to paint the town tonight at some big house-party. I may watch the fight, may not.

I was firing away on FM myself earlier and then ordered myself a spice bag. The preseason grind made me turn it off and watch Starsky and Hutch though.
The drive in to the city for herself was less stressful than expected at least. Packed in there though.

I've just finished pre-season there, done Arsenal 3-1 in the Charity Shield and then got absolutely fucking duffed 3-0 by Newcastle in the opening game of the season.

Fined everyone two weeks wages it was that bad.

My team who scored well over 200 goals in all competitions last season are now desperately goal-shy, and I have ten injuries, including four of my first team.

Currently 2-0 over Hull, but it's looking like a ropey start to the season - was going to play until the transfer window but I think...fuck me, and another of my first team wingers is out for five weeks.

Time for UFC, even though I'm not really a fan.

I guess as TTH is largely made up of 20-somethings (I'm 26) that many of us got into foruming / messageboards at about the same time, give or take a few years.

I would imagine the 12-16-year-olds these days simply aren't joining forums and do their shit chat via other mediums.

We're a dying breed, I fear. I bet most the new members are old school, late-90s / early-00s MSN Messenger paedos.

Baz

MSN really was top. Took it for granted, really. It changing to Skype ruined the Internet for me for about six months.

I stop posting or posting less in a silent protest for Harold ban.

Is the ban over? I heard it was the 9th or it was 19th?big fail if was 19th.

He created around 20 aliases since his ban which delayed his return.

If forums were dying, then why are places like reddit doing so well?
