Me trying to be a new Saint as failed miserably. What a mess.
Should leave this to Toby.
It looks pretty grim for Arsenal but arguably City topping their group has been a bigger surprise. Although Juve have sorted themselves out a bit since the last time they played.

You can only hope Olympiakos score 5 and Petr Cech throws one in the net.

Arsenal should win their last two (they always walk tough/pivotal Euro aways) so it's just a matter of whether Fritz is feeling like another Anschluss.

Yeah, Arsenal have virtually guaranteed qualification by mathematically staying in it throughout.
Backing us to hit the crucial two wins in a row barrier tonight.

I don't understand the constant assertions that Arsenal are headed for the Europa League when all they need to do is beat two bang average teams (and hope neither pull a surprise against Bayern) to finish second.
Two bang average teams that have already beaten them.

Which shouldn't hold any bearing on the two return matches.

What if bayern score a zillion goals against Olympiakos? Like they normally do at home?
Ozil is really a sight for sore eyes. Amazing everything he does.

Wonder if Roman ever thought about that.

Roma will probably still manage to score a few. The front trio for Barcelona is probably the GOAT partnership?
Probably score a few? Seems pretty unlikely.
The second goal was beautiful, impossible to deal with.

Sanchez... I think I discovered him in a u17 tournament in the other forum. I think I also had coentrao and.... Moses.
If my memory doesn't fail me I am amazing in detecting future talents.
I leave to Louis to see if this is true.
I'd say Roma need to change things but I think whatever they do they're screwed when Barcelona are playing this well.
Chelsea could really do with Porto not losing tonight.
Andrew Cole on Suarez - "Top top player in tip top form". :D
No contest really, 3-0 now. Tempted to switch over for the second half, any good matches?

Barca has been pretty nice to watch tonight. They're making Roma look like a pub team at times.

How is Yannick Djaló doing?
What happened to Ashley Cole? Did his form just suddenly plummet in his last season at Chelsea? Crazy that at 34 he's without a club, only a couple of years on from being an automatic starter for Chelsea and England.

6-0. He's going to relegate two teams this year.
I think he just lost all his pace? Which maybe got him out of trouble more than we thought.
Had Suarez AGS 5-1 and Müller AGS 4-0 double. That last Barca goal after a soft penalty slightly fucking me off now.
Jackie McNamara used to manage Dundee United and now manages York, for anybody not sure why Waffelz is suddenly excited about them losing.

It'll just be that he's no longer worth the massive wages he would want to bother to continue playing, rather than actually not good enough to do a decent job for somebody. He will have lost pace, which was fairly important to his game, but I imagine he'd still do well for a lot of top flight sides if he really wanted to extend his career.

Arsenal will get Barcelona in the next round.
I don't think it's just wanting too much money, he really didn't do well for Roma last season. Was at fault too many times and couldn't keep his place ahead of Holebas, who is now at Watford to put that into context. (Although I think he's a pretty good player, going forward at least.)

I'm not saying he can still cut it at a Champions League club.

Fair enough, I just mean his performances dropped more than expected.

Presumably he blames him for the abject failure of a season they're currently plodding through,
Chelsea and Mourinho sides play a lot better if they are constantly on pressure.
Part of the problem is that Chelsea only need a draw but Porto need a win. I'd probably be comfortable with win or bust with this side.

I reckon we need to win don't we? Unless they've changed the sorting rules again.
Oh no, we lost 2-1 in Porto. I thought it was 2-0. A draw would only be enough for second place behind Kiev though.

Second place would be very risky. Most likely a bayern/Barcelona /PSG would follow. We are recovering but not at that levels yet. A olimpiacos / German team who is not bayern or Benfica would be perfect.

You won't, as Sevilla will need the win to get their Europa League place and subsequently their 118th consecutive Europa League title.

Doesn't look too good for United now going in to the last games. They could of course get lucky and CSKA will win in Eindhoven, but I can't see them getting an away win against Wolfsburg with the kind of stuff United have been serving in Europe so far.
