I've got my external hard-drive out to go through all my old files and I'm actually having fun with it. I've been thinking recently that once these books are done I'll be done with historical research, since at some point I'll get a job and who wants to spend their weekends in fucking archives, but I don't know.

Read a thread on another forum about places you've gone for a shit other than a toilet, and I'm thus reminiscing about the time I got caught short (due in part to food poisoning) in a tent at womad and having to go for a poo in a plastic bag. I used a sock as toilet paper. This led to me also reminiscing about the time, at the same festival a couple of days earlier, I went for a wee in a portaloo so pissed that I fell backwards out of the toilet and landed next to about 50 people waiting to use the facilities. Jeans definitely around my ankles, and pretty sure a little bit of wee was still coming out. World's worst water feature.
