I'd missed the story a couple of years ago about him taking a break to have a tumour removed, so this came out of nowhere.

I saw that ex Rangers German guy has Motor Neurone these days, awful stuff. Think if I had a family and got that I'd just off myself. Couldn't watch my family lose me in real time, day by day.

I wasn't aware of the tumour so this came as a bit of a shock. We had him for a season, one of the few good keepers we've had since Oggy.

He was great on loan for us a few years ago. Didn't know he was ill.

If that's anything to go by, Giampaolo Pazzini better be careful - all 3 of us had him on one save.
