That was

Who watched it?

I saw the last 20 minutes. Was good.

I've really got high hopes for this last season, especially after the good premiere.

I'm missing series 6 onwards, which I'm quite ambivalent about as I enjoyed the first 5 so much and did so at a slightly different stage of my life that I'm not sure I want to ruin the memories just yet. Maybe that's a load of old cobblers though and I should get on it.

Ian
11-11-2015, 10:39 PM
Was it actually funny, then? I forgot it was even on until I saw it on the Sky guide there. I've set it to record but I'd set my expectations at... well... really quite shit.

Boydy
11-11-2015, 10:43 PM
It was great.

Browning
11-11-2015, 11:08 PM
Yea it was incredible. I'm tempted to say up there with it's best episodes.

I could watch Super Hans forever though.

I've never found it that funny. In fact the funniest thing about it was 'Jord' desperately trying to get those Mark Corrigan comparisons to stick.

Haven't seen Peep Show for about, I dunno, 5 years. Which seems odd. I used to love it back in the day.

I really enjoyed the show up until I think the fifth season. Mark was in yet another marriage he didn't want to be in and they end up setting a barn on fire. It was bad.

SvN
12-11-2015, 12:22 PM
Yet another? He wasn't even married at that point.

I thought last night's episode was brilliant, and the best for a few seasons.

phonics
12-11-2015, 12:24 PM
He was constantly in relationships with people he didn't want to be with but was too awkward to say no to. As I say, it's been a long time since I saw it but after whatever that season was it kind of ruined everything else for me.

SvN
12-11-2015, 12:26 PM
You might be on about season five, where he thought every women he interacted with was "the one", which was a bit shit, admittedly. But he was the one getting dumped rather than not wanting to be with them. Apart from the girl who raped him.

Ian
12-11-2015, 10:21 PM
Well that wasn't anything like a peak of the show but it was very much a pleasant surprise.

Clunge
12-11-2015, 11:21 PM
Best episode for three or four series'.

Baz
13-11-2015, 12:06 AM
I binge watched them all about a year ago, so this turning up is a pleasant surprise.

It's extra funny because Super Hans is the spitting image of a mate of mine, who was recently outcast.

Just caught up. Sterling return.

"See you in the morning, Jerry" had me creased.

SvN
19-11-2015, 02:22 PM
In contrast to last week's episode, I thought last night's ranked as one of the worst ever. A few laughs here and there, but didn't really hit the spot for me.

Henry
19-11-2015, 02:51 PM
Yeah, a lot of it seemed very forced.

Vim
19-11-2015, 03:01 PM
I thought it wasn't as good, still decent though. It needed some Johnson, also I want crack addict Hans back.

Boydy
19-11-2015, 04:02 PM
Yeah, I didn't think last night's was very good either.

Browning
19-11-2015, 05:59 PM
Agreed. Such a shame. Quite a few good set ups to things that could have been brilliant and then fell flat.

Ian
19-11-2015, 09:34 PM
It wasn't as good as last week but I thought it was still better than the majority of the last... two series or so. Maybe more.

Max Power
19-11-2015, 09:43 PM
Dobby was a character that needed a three episode arc at most. No need to bring her back yet again.

Still laughed four or five times during the episode, but as others have said; not as good at last weeks.

Kikó
19-11-2015, 10:38 PM
As not much of a watcher of Peep Show, was the bumming normal?

Boydy
19-11-2015, 10:39 PM
Nah. It seemed a bit too outlandish to me.

Lee
19-11-2015, 10:42 PM
Jeremy doing gay stuff isn't new. It didn't feel out of place to me. Dobby is shit. She ruins any episode she's in, which is a huge shame as she's in loads of the fuckers.

Ian
19-11-2015, 11:03 PM
I just liked Hans' comments when they were watching the video.

"How long've you been recording Jez having sex, Mark?"

Browning
19-11-2015, 11:37 PM
The highlight for me was "the fucking twins" showing up.

I guffawed like a goon during parts of that second episode. I thought it was even better than the first one.

Never even heard of this. :\

Reg
24-11-2015, 02:03 PM
I thought the second episode was really good, quite a lot funnier than the first. Glad this is back.

Browning
25-11-2015, 10:16 PM
This has been quality so far.

SvN
26-11-2015, 12:11 AM
Back to form tonight I thought. I almost fell off my chair when it cut to Mark wearing eye shadow.

leedsrevolution
26-11-2015, 02:05 AM
It's all been pretty good so far. Shame it's the last season as they could keep this show going forever.

Henry
28-11-2015, 01:57 PM
Just caught the third. Totally fucked up and brilliant. :D

Mashed beans. :D

Mark's manic face when Jeremy was going to draw on his eyelids was frightening.

Browning

This was great again.

"5 figures total.... 3 figures actual." :D

The cocaine and colonoscopy bits were utterly lolarious.

Ian
05-12-2015, 04:24 PM
This series really does make you wonder just what the fuck they were up to for the last ones.

phonics
05-12-2015, 04:27 PM
Isn't this the last season? It's probably easier to write towards when the end is in sight rather than the fifth season of a sitcom when you'd rather be working on another project.

Clunge
05-12-2015, 05:04 PM
It's never been a show with an envisaged story arc though. It's been commissioned a series at a time. This is the first and only series with a definitive end point. This will be the end so they can clearly push things as far as they want.

It's a shame series five through eight were pretty awful though.

igor_balis
07-12-2015, 07:11 PM
Yeah, this has been unexpectedly good so far, and i'm glad it is finishing on what feels like a relative high after the general shitness of seasons 5-8. Cf. The Simpsons.

Yevrah
07-12-2015, 07:58 PM
Caught up and I'm really enjoying it.

I know they've said it will be the last series, but it's not as if any of the leads are about to Hugh Laurie it in Hollywood so it wouldn't surprise me if they carry on.

Yevrah
07-12-2015, 08:02 PM
Oh and loving the new Machiavellian Mark.

Henry
07-12-2015, 08:02 PM
They'll probably die at the end or something. It's always been quite dark.

Henry
10-12-2015, 09:01 AM
Wasn't great last night I thought. Bit flat.

Browning
16-12-2015, 09:26 PM
Is it really the last one tonight? Fuck sake.

Browning
16-12-2015, 10:19 PM
That Norwich line was brilliant.

Henry
16-12-2015, 10:31 PM
That last one was a bit depressing and not particularly funny, I thought.

Browning
16-12-2015, 10:32 PM
Yea, doesn't feel like a proper ending at all.

igor_balis
16-12-2015, 10:42 PM
I thought a bit of an understated and depressing final scene was the perfect way to end it.

Henry
16-12-2015, 10:45 PM
It did properly pull the rug out when you thought it just might end happily for Mark.

SvN
16-12-2015, 10:48 PM
I thought the last two eps were a bit disappointing all in all. Still a decent series overall, but nowhere near the likes of seasons 2 and 3.

igor_balis
16-12-2015, 10:51 PM
The whole season was worth it just for Super Hans calling the the fish 'old school' and 'one of the good guys'.

Mike
16-12-2015, 11:10 PM
A pretty fitting end, both still stuck in that flat with nowhere else to go/be with. Both where they belong.

Yevrah
17-12-2015, 05:46 PM
It'll be back.

Reg
17-12-2015, 05:51 PM
A couple of really funny episodes but on the whole probably only a little better than the disappointing last couple seasons.

igor_balis
17-12-2015, 06:17 PM
It'll be back.

For a couple of specials perhaps, but I'd be amazed if they do a proper series.

Clunge
17-12-2015, 09:53 PM
I thought that was quite poignant.

BUT.

I thought, for once, just for once, they might have gone for the happily ever after finale. It would have jarred so much with the show as a whole, would have been an interesting end.

Henry
17-12-2015, 09:57 PM
That's kind of what happened in The Office...

Ian
17-12-2015, 10:02 PM
That just didn't feel like a last episode, somehow. I don't know if that actually means anything but it seemed a bit odd.

John
17-12-2015, 10:17 PM
'Last ever' is basically just a marketing line now. Everything will go on until forever unless either there's a finite amount of story to tell or the people involved get too big for the thing.

Clunge
18-12-2015, 12:21 AM
Henry Good point, forgot about that. In fact, I always forget how great those Office specials were.
