Seeing as how there is a few of us that watch other motor sport rather than F1 here's a thread that has it all. I don't see the need now for a separate thread because hardly anyone watches F1 on here now. We'd be best with a big fuck off thread with all classes and forms in here.

Anyone else can't fucking wait for Valencia?

Also I work alongside Stuart Easton's sister's boyfriend so I get all the BSB gossip. :)

Does this include bikes?

I would say so.

On that subject when do we think Pedrosa will be taken out the back of the garage and put out of his misery? Surely can only be a matter of time before an Espargaro is on that second Honda.

Weird, Lorenzo asked to be part of Rossi's hearing and give evidence, but it was rejected.

He's a complete asshat.

In other news, Andy Jordan is teaming up with Mat Jackson in the Motorbase Focus for next season's BTCC.

Lorenzo takes it by five points or something by winning from pole. Rossi rides to 4th. Danny Kent becomes the first British champion since Barry Sheene as he takes the Moto3 title.

Marquez not attempting to pass Lorenzo then suddenly finding enough pace to defend from Pedrosa. :harold:

Yeah, that was a bit shit from Marquez' side, if understandable after Sepang. I really hope Pedrosa/the Ducatis challenge the top three next year, none of which have come across as particularly likeable through all this.

Marquez is a disgrace. Shameful cunt fending off his team mate so his slut could win. Pathetic cunt.

Anyone watch the first Moto GP race? It was pretty expected stuff to be honest. Not sure why Yam have signed Rossi for 2 more years though.

Also Andy from Emmerdale will be racing in BTCC this season. I had no idea but apparently he's a pretty well established racer already. :S

Yeah I watched it. I think Iannone going off early killed the tension a bit, he seemed like the only one who could have challenged Lorenzo. Rumors are that Stoner's testing times on the Ducati are even faster, though, so him joining a couple of races as a wildcard would make things interesting.

I really don't like Lorenzo, he's like Vettel (who I did like, strangely). I think Marquez gate has pushed me over the edge. Fuck 'em all.

Also some stunning cars revealed here:

I've lost all interest. :(

Don't even know who won the past 2-3 years. :(

I never really liked Lorenzo until the season he repeatedly broke himself into pieces and was back donning most of the field seemingly half an hour after coming out of surgery. I wouldn't say he's like Vettel though, to me he's more of a Prost.

Oh and fuck off Stoner.

22-03-2016, 08:14 PM
Oi. I like Stoner. He quit far too young and its a real shames the fans never took to him. As for Rossi's contract, he nearly won the title last year and he brings a ton of cash to the table. Once he hits 40, he'll bow out or pick up a Moto2/3 team.

And Bradley Smith's signed for KTM's 2017 effort.

He took his ball and went home like a pouty impatient child, I shall root for the Spanish amoeba if the Moaning One returns.

To be fair, his last couple of years were undermined by illness. Plus, at some point you've got a kid and family to think about and stupid sods in the paddock trying to smack you over nowt.

Anyone else into Road Racing. I'm looking forward to the new season of it. I will be going to Olivers Mount next month and hoping Ivan Lintin can push on this year.

Luis Salom died today after a crash in practice. :|

That's a bit of a bummer.

Turn 12 is out the back of the circuit after the hairpin I think, not particularly high speed so it must have been an odd crash to have been fatal.

Jimmy Floyd

Isn't turn 12 the multiple apex right hander, as you say, after the hairpin? Unless they use a different layout for bikes. Must have been very unlucky unless someone/his bike went over him.

Disco
03-06-2016, 06:13 PM
The different layout comes after that turn I think, F1 uses the shitty little chicane while the bikes still use the right hander down the hill.

Yeah, I've seen the footage now. Thankfully the only released footage is a wide shot of the last corner so its not graphic. Its a fairly innocuous accident that probably wouldn't have been fatal had the F1 cars not been given so much run-off. Gravel would've slowed him down and the air fence would've done the rest. Thanks, Bernie.

It's going to be modified i believe in the close season. Chicanes ruined the racing to be honest. Rossi though.

Bloody hell if true. Bump caused by presumably hard braking by F1 cars? They were showing you some of the slow mo from qualifying and the practices and the bumps looked horrendous. Such a tragedy. He laid it down as you would so you aren't riding it straight in to a wall but was going so fast they just stayed on the same trajectory. If gravel were there presumably there would be bouncing and shit as we see when bikes hit gravel at full chat.

When's the last weekend McGuinness went without a win? Hutchy's on three. :)

Dunlop wins ahead of Hutchinson. McGuinness third and is empty-handed for ... I think (not confident on that one) the first time in six years.

Assen might be the best place ever, two phenomenal races.

Magic

All of them were good. Did anyone see Rea's move at the corkscrew during race 2 of WSBK?

EDIT: Zarco to Tech 3.

Both riders set to stay.

Monster Yamaha Tech 3
Jonas Folger (End of 2017, Option 2018)
Johann Zarco (End of 2017, Option 2018)

Pramac Ducati
Scott Redding

Both riders will continue at team in 2017 (http://www.crash.net/motogp/news/231861/1/pramac-17-line-up-confirmed-exploring-suzuki-for-18.html).

Aspar Ducati
Yonny Hernandez?
Eugene Laverty?
Alvaro Bautista is hotly linked to the team with which he won the 125cc title and finished runner-up in 250cc. Laverty is holding out for GP16 machinery next season (there are rumours Aspar will only have one GP16, for Bautista, the other rider will have GP15) and has also received very tempting offers from WSBK.

Avintia Ducati
Hector Barbera?
Loris Baz?
Barbera yet to sign but '100%' he will continue at Avintia, and get GP16 machinery. Question mark over future of Loris Baz.

I'm way behind on WSBK, in fact their Assen round is the next on the list.

Zarco could do well, I like him. Vinales to Yamaha is a quick promotion, I'm guessing Lorenzo jumped of his own accord because you wouldn't get rid of him.

Magic

He said he wanted a final challenge, probably sick of being the better rider and treated second rate behind the GOAT. He'll shit it at Ducati and retire because he's too snobby for any other classes. Rins on Suzuki, Lowes on the Aprilia, Smith on the KTM, etc so much to look forward to. That's a radically different grid. Surprised Pedrosa is on to 2018.

I'd imagine Pedrosa's been there so long he'll retire there as a one-bike man. Plus he probably still has race wins in him. And he's only 30. Sorry, I'm taken aback by that.
