On Styles/Bryan, I'm not sure, it just didn't click for me. I don't watch the weekly shows at all now, so I don't know if I'm missing something, but from the clips I've seen, the whole "New Daniel Bryan" thing just isn't working for me. It's not that he can't be a heel, but it's like they know that the YES MOVEMENT is still going to happen, so they don't book him like a heel, and want to keep booking him like a plucky underdog who has to overcome the odds. I didn't think it was horrible, but I wasn't really interested.

Just finished Rousey/Lump and this was by far Rousey's best showing.

I've been fairly critical of her but I thought she was great in the match. They made her look a lot more agile (great move against the giant sack) with some really slick moves. I really liked the step up knee she did and the attempted rear naked choke.

Nia was a little sloppy and shit in the transitions which didn't make them look as swift which is a shame but it still worked. Oh and they didn't book Ronda into too many deer in headlights spots/scared shitless. They used those far too many in prior matches despite her being THE BADDEST WOMAN ON THE PLANET.

Cruiserweights (as always) delivered on the pre-show and I really liked Styles/Bryan and the main event.

The run in with Rousey worked a hell of a lot as did the Asuka aspect. Some of the spots were also great (that was probably Flair's best spear) and this angle has done a hell of a lot for Flair and Lynch.

Rollins and Ambrose was disappointing, just never got up to full speed and featured the knee bollocks we'd discussed. I think it suffered from the stilted build to an extent, Ambrose spent a lot of time taunting Rollins, trying to be methodical, etc. which is always gonna work better when there's some heat to the feud.

I only had chance for a few minutes of Raw before heading to work.

I think NXT might be enabling the main roster shitness. It provides a steady stream of popular, established wrestlers who've been inculcated into the WWE way of doing things. It props up the main roster and lessens the consequences of their short term booking strategy.

Ruined half your tag division or split them up after five minutes for a cheap boost that is forgotten about two weeks later? Nevermind, here's a heap of new ones so you can begin the process again. Why go to the bother of making the effort to rebuild (for example) Chad Gable when you can grab someone off the NXT shelf?

In short, please don't bury Dozovic and his amazing face/body shape.

Decided to watch last years WarGames as I've heard it was one of the best Takeover's and I had never seen a WarGames match.

Four way ladies match was the worst on the card but even that was great, the Dream/Black match was a story telling masterpiece and I can see why it won rivalry of the year as well as nominated for match of the year.

The actual main event was absolutely top quality, it was such good fun when all of them were in the rings/cage and Killian Dain was a joy to behold.

I reckon they stick with the big show format for this year at a least. NJPW are promoting them on Twitter and it is public Knowledge the Okada and the Bucks are best mates so should have access to that roster and you would assume Don Calis at Impact is eager to work with themas well as they are currently running Impact v insert ptomotion shows stm. They have poached behind the scenes blokes from ROH so all the sign point to a new type of territory system in place. Add Jericho to a group of people more than capable of drawing huge attention from WWE fans.

If there's any truth that they're planning to close Mania with a womens match (and there's no reason not to) I think Lynch has somewhat thrown a spanner in the Flair / Rousey works by getting so over. Obviously none of the obvious candidates for a big Rousey 'Mania match are on Raw with her at the moment anyway so after that bit with HHH on Smackdown I assume Carmella, Charlotte and Becky have a triple threat to face Asuka at the Rumble then whichever of Charlotte and Becky isn't facing her wins the Rumble and picks Rousey.
