It depends on the distribution you use. The .io fork is down, the .se fork is working.

Popcorn Time is a project (just a backbone of code) for streaming video torrents, with two popular "apps" that have been built out of it: PopcornTime.io and PopcornTime.se. The former was (I believe) the more popular one and had a wider selection, and that's the one that was taken down. The latter (built on the same code) is still up.

So yes and no, basically. MoviePanda used to be good for selection (albeit with a horrible UI that didn't have a search bar), but it seems to have stopped being maintained - they haven't pushed a new version of the product in nearly a year. Shame

What's wrong with piratebay, kickasstorrents or torrents.EU? I don't see how the popcorn is any better. You can reliably get the vast majority of films, music, games etc in high quality from any of those sites without any issues.

It's the simplicity. Click the film, choose your level of HD...and that's it. It streams the film while simultaneously seeding, stores it in cache, and then disposes of it when you exit the program. The model is probably the future of film torrenting because it's user-friendly (my mum can use it), much like the iPhone was the future of phones (my mum can use it).

Do you not find Genesis on Kodi to be pretty good, Baz? The only problem I have with Kodi is finding reliable football streams. Normal TV and film streaming is great.
