I don't get so much road rage as parking rage nowadays. Virtually all designated parking areas need clear lines put on them, the expense of which could be covered by being able to tow/impound/sell* all of the giant Range Rovers that are always parked with not quite enough room in front of them for a car, and not quite enough room behind them for a car. Came across one last night with a fat female occupant in the drivers seat and I came very close to having a moment.

*if this is too tricky then roaming car-crusher-giant claw hiyab truck type things will have to do.

The very bottom of the A3 in Portsmouth is like a daily game, going down the right side and cutting into the left before the right-turn only junction. I do it all the time, but I also let other people do it if I'm in the left lane to balance it out. I did it to somebody the other week and they were shaking their fist at me and all sorts, so my guess is they were some stupid foreign steamhead because everyone else knows the score.

There's a place near me where this is done, and my personality type is the one where I always sit dutifully in the left lane because I don't want to be a twat, but also secretly respect all the people charging down the right down what can be a very narrow gap - except vans, who are reckless and I hope their drivers all die in accidents.

I haven't done it in ages because of the roadworks, but there was nothing - NOTHING - as satisfactory on the road as skipping the entire queue either side of the A3/M25 junction. I did it in a big van for work once and I felt like the actual King of the Road.

That is the only way to live. Who sits on a long line for hours when there is an empty lane right next to it? My time is too valuable for that.

In Mexico you always got into some intense standoffs doing it. Over here everyone yields no problem.
