What was the logic behind Quansah going right back? Was it cos Gomez was doing so well in the middle?
Yeah I think just because Goe Jomez was having his annual decent game at centre-half it didn't make sense to move him and disrupt the whole defence. Can't really afford any more injuries at the back at the minute. He's managed Jota and Chiesa both being unavailable well though so hopefully he can do similar with the defence for the next few weeks.

With all the triumphalism I am reminded, helpfully by the annual puff piece about Spurs (https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c4gxgplmk55o) that usually comes out around now, that they'd won the league after 10 games last season, so probably too soon for chicken counting.
"Ange Postecoglou is the man - his football is irresistible. We are the league's entertainers. I'm happy with that."
:happycry:
God bless their fans.

I'd rather that than the majority of fanbases who seem to want their manager out pretty much constantly.

Some warm balls in the bag today.
I managed to call the Salford 45 as it came out. Leeds v Harrogate, Liverpool v Accrington Stanley [who are they etc] . . .

Bromley. At least it's not Forest.
That is one saucy third round draw.
I had a lovely evening at Old Trafford last night. The atmosphere is absolutely fucked.
I revise this opinion. It was actually very good comparatively at the everton game so it could have been because it was just the Europa. The everton fans were terrible.

Fuck me, you'll be glad to know that it isn't just football that has sold it's soul to the middle east.
EuroLeague final 4 to be in Abu Dhabi :face:

I think it's literally every sport going, isn't it? Other than the US one where the market is so ginormous they don't need to sell their soul.

Even the NBA played some pre-season games over there, but yeah, they aren't playing "normal" games there any time soon, as I suspect the Premier League never will... At least not in the next 20 years.

Dunno about the Middle East but I'm pretty convinced the PL will play in the US.
Doesn't the NBA and/or NFL already play some regular season games abroad? Pretty sure someone was in Mexico in the past couple of months. They'll be out there soon.

Yup, they have games in Mexico for sure, and I think actually competitive games.

It was always going to go down this route, once football and co went global during the 90s. Bring back racism.

Canada gets a Bills game every year too.
Or did, think it's done now.

Luke Shaw injured again. There should be an annual competition to see which of the ‘2 best full-backs in the world’ manage less minutes each season.

The FA told Guehi off for writing a message about loving Jesus on his rainbow armband. He's done it again tonight, be remiss of the FA to punish Guehi for loving jesus this close to Christmas to be fair.

If he waits a few months, we'll probably have a spot for him.
