Olise off to Bayern.

United after Ugarte and potentially De Ligt.

Gray Fox

Liverpool did go in for Anthony Gordon and Newcastle were going to sell, as they do need to make a big sale or two to comply with financial rules. However they wanted Quansah going the other way and we've told them to stick it.

niko_cee
29-06-2024, 10:23 AM
Maybe they thought they'd be doing them a favour as part of the end of financial year player swap bonanza weekend?

Gray Fox
29-06-2024, 11:15 AM
It's all so they can fiddle the books better with "valuations" over the players involved. Word is Newcastle need to make a reasonably large sale before July.

I do not want that little rat anywhere near a red shirt though.

Adramelch
29-06-2024, 02:03 PM
Internet has him at 5ft10 which would be pretty reasonable for a full back, but other sources have him indeed at 5ft6. Weird.

Chelsea cutting out the middle man by hijacking Brighton signings after they've had a medical and agreed terms is quite amusing.

niko_cee
01-07-2024, 08:16 AM
I see Leicester might be buying a youth off them so is it just more PSR scamming? Seems an odd choice unless they are just going to write off all of their other permanently injured midfielders. Will he even get a game? Would probably have started most weeks for Brighton given their midfield is tragic and most of the oldies are leaving or have left. I see it as a bullet dodged. Just sign some unit from Rennes or Belgium or wherever.

Did that guy who was highly rated at Palace come back from injury yet or is he permadead? Shame for them to lose Olise, and probably Guehi as otherwise they'd have the formings of a handy side.

On this is it true that United aren't allowed to sign players from Nice, that Todibo one chiefly, as they are both in the wafer cup? Always one step behind City, you have to loan them out from a sub-tier feeder entity.

Multi-club ownership should be absolutely banned.

Luke Emia
10-07-2024, 03:18 PM
Multi club should definitely be banned. It's even worse when it's a big club(in their own league) with their own history like Bordeaux as well.

But, the way football has gone being able to shove money out of one club into another is just another way to cook the books. Like City 'only' having 500 staff. But, there are then hundreds more who are employed via City Football Group.

Palhinha has officially gone to Bayern. €56m, which is about £47m. Feels way too low for a player of his importance for us but at 29, it's probably about right for his market value.

When he was Jamaica manager he said he'd like Greenwood to switch allegiance and play for them (he's still eligible to do so). This was after it all came out. He then went on about what a hard time poor Mason must have had with all the press and social media attention.

I know nothing about him. He could well turn out to be an excellent player but just for comparison didn't Arsenal buy Saliba at a similar age and loan him back for 2/3 seasons before putting him into the first-team? Looking at him he looks very lean would be the nicest way you could put it and centre back doesn't tend to be somewhere where players really come into their own positionally and the like until they are well into their 20's.

Roma fella taking over Everton is off.

Apparently the big stumbling block is the repaying of loans that 777 took out to keep the club running while their takeover dragged on.

Luke Emia
19-07-2024, 10:44 AM
They could be fucked yet. Surely it's getting to the point where Moshiri puts the money in to keep the lights on(which he probably hasn't got as he was just a frontman for Usmanov). I'm sure there will be someone who will buy them but you have to think that there's probably going to be some more PSR issues coming down the tracks as well.

Gray Fox
19-07-2024, 11:13 AM
They're already past that point. 777 were waiting on the result of the points deductions before they committed and were having to take loans on the club in order to keep the lights on and pay for that new stadium.

They're likely about to go under themselves which is why their takeover fell through. Whoever comes in will have to buy Everton and also pay back those loans too. If not it could be curtains.
