Continue talks of coffee here, since the food thread moaning. I'm currently using Costco Kirkland Rwanda beans which are alright though I now think my machine dying may have also impacted recent taste. Any recommendations for good value every day beans appreciated.

Have you no local café that sell them? They’re usually far superior because they’ve been roasted within the last couple of weeks.

It isn't the most metropolitan round here, there are a couple of cafés that seem owned by pretentious tits but I will investigate nonetheless.

Lol at the prices some of you are paying for coffee machines. Just drink some water.

I get the darkest ones I can get in kilo bags from an online shop, normally the ones marked French or Italian roast. I like coffee but know absolutely nothing about it, just so long as it tastes strong.

After not drinking coffee for 36 years I’ve recently started drinking iced coffee like a right man.

'Their dream is to open up a roastery in the Keswick area'

My Delonghi machine died a while ago, so much faff so I haven't replaced it yet.

I have a Sage Bambino machine and it's great. Considering how expensive buying a coffee is now, it's paid for itself over a couple of years easily.

As a resident of the north I don't touch the stuff.

I've got a L'Or Barista Sublime capsule machine that takes (original) nespresso capsules. Got it for like Ł50 on sale. I just use Lidl's capsules as you get 20 of them for less than the price of ten of the branded ones in Tesco. I'm not hugely fussy about coffee but it is nicer than instant.

Have you had it long? The plastic pods used to fuck up all those machines, though that's a good while ago so they're probably designed for them more now.

We had a bean to cup in work which died due to hard water because of idiots and they got a Vertuo. They're way better than I'd expected.

Since the start of the year. I'm pretty happy with it.

I've got the Cuisinart Grind and Brew Plus. Good machine. Always prefer to buy local beans but they are twice the price of the supermarket stuff. I'd rather drink instant than pods, think they are vile.

We've had Lavazza Crema as out standard for years. €12 for a kilo , can't really go wrong.

We have a Sage Barista Express Impress, currently using Costco's Kirkland Signature House Blend. Its pretty snazzy! I am useless at anything even like 'foam art' so take great delight in pouring it in and announcing a random image I think it looks like. My wife, having worked at Costa in her youth, makes it super fancy looking.

We've had some pretty standard Delonghi machine for some years now. No going back to the old ways as the coffee just is so much better than what you get.

Look at it as an investment as you won't waste any coffee anymore you'll make your money back in a decade or two 😅.

We drink this in our house...because my wife won't let anything enter our house unless it's organic. And if I want to enter her then I need to play along.
