The United States of Ameri.... Sorry, ISIS claim responsibility.

Islamic State claims responsibility after gunmen in combat gear opened fire and reportedly set off explosives at Crocus City Hall

Should have taken hostages, the Russians would have doubled that number.

Was thinking the same.

We'll save them with toxic gas!

Why would Islamic state attack Moscow?

I bet Putin is gutted ISIS have claimed it. He was drooling at the idea of pinning it on Zelensky.

Deaths up to 93 now. Their insistence on beating America is unrivalled.

This is what is confusing me a bit too. Islamophobia has always been rife in Moscow/Government but the relations with the Muslim regions is about as good as it’s ever been.

And if this is 100% foreign IS then exactly, why Moscow?

Syria?

Isis don't need a reason beyond people not being of the same faith as them. Even being the wrong type of Muslim makes you fair game.

Is there a reason to target Moscow itself? Who knows. Maybe that's just where they live. Same as the 7/7 and Madrid bombings.

Didn't realise they've actually made arrests. Those lads are going to see some end.

Probably end up more grisly, but Lil'Rocketman firing a tank shell at that high ranking advisor guy will take some beating.

American intelligence warned about this two weeks ago, as usual in Russia their top boys (or boy) simply don't believe intelligence reports that they don't want to hear, or possibly even the reports wouldn't have got far up the chain.

Taking the New York Times reporting at face value:

On March 19, the Russian leader called the U.S. Embassy statement “obvious blackmail” made with “the intention to intimidate and destabilize our society.” But he had yet to comment directly on the attack Friday.

Absolutely no surprise but the Russians have dusted these four gunmen. Electric shocks, eyes missing, the lot.

I reckon the Russians organised this themselves for 1) sympathy and 2) Putin stuff.

However no Russian official has acknowledged the claim, instead suggesting - without evidence - that the attackers were being helped by Ukraine and Kyiv had "prepared a window" to allow them to cross the border and escape into Ukrainian territory.

Wait. What? :D Lads, pull the other one.

The best route away from any crime scene is into an active war zone, everyone knows that.

Well, hopefully this leads to a Russian 'security operation' in Tajikistan that last a decade.

Are they meant to be the same guy? Bit of a stretch.

Although Bush did 9/11 so...

Having seen the video, this is a bit of a stretch. Sure they cut it off and try to put it in his mouth, but it’s hardly fed to him.

I'd rather have Magic back tbh.

Feels forced with Baz as if he's trying to shake off the Garden Soccer vibes of old.
