Regardless of how spot on it is there's obviously briefings going out against not just Pochettino but also the club at the minute in terms of how things are going.

For sure.

But not to a made up website.

We'll soon have a whole farm of Winston Bogardes. Maybe they can all fuck each other and sell the pedigree offspring at one of those livestock auctions.

It was just off the BBC gossip page and I thought you'd like it.

I assume this was aimed at Waff rather than ne?

Another gem from the same column:

Manchester City have not yet signed 19-year-old Brazilian winger Savio, who is currently on loan at Spanish club Girona from French side Troyes, but talks have taken place and the Treble winners are hopeful of agreeing a deal. (ESPN)

Gonna be some tough talks those.

Hopeful of agreeing a deal?

The Athletic quoted below it as well. I'm not even saying it is true but footballers are like politicians in that they are thick but also if they want something to get out they will get it out there. No smoke without fire most of the time.

If we could make this a thing I can then just filter out all.posts without it.

He should leave with the Pochettino has used him. Makes it even more odd he would have seen him as an Argentine winning the World Cup playing in a deep position. Ah well, it’s nearly summer

Hopefully get some Chukwuemka ball this evening if nothing else

I've been reading around a lot of Chelsea fan opinion in the last few days and it's pretty depressing stuff. Many get it, but just as many, probably more, are still labouring under some kind of delusion that Roman Abramovich was a kind and generous man and a wonderful football club owner, rather than a vicious mass murderer laundering blood money through London for 20 years using the powdered brain matter of Chelsea fans as Persil.

The current lot haven't ruined the club - they might be clueless or not, but we're now operating in the real world rather than fantasy world and a lot of people aren't willing to accept that, because football is of course nothing but escapist fantasy.

Pretty shite this group ownership thing if you're not the top dog. Troyes have never had any benefit from Savio and are looking at double relegation. What's the point in being a fan of theirs?

niko_cee
07-02-2024, 09:36 AM
Unfortunately it's a complete failure on the part of the football regulators worldwide to allow such things to happen, but the fans are culpable too. It may be rubbish for them, but they could do something about it - I don't know the specific facts about Troyes, maybe they have tried. Like the Paddy Power advert says, loads of money for transfers trumps any kind of rational thought.

On the club ownership front one of the papers did a bit about the ownership of the 20 Premier League clubs and it was a pretty depressing read. Pretty much only Luton who aren't owned by some massively malign influence.

I guess Brighton and Brentford too, although they both blot their copybook with some multi-club business.

Salty scouse tears will always be the premium, single malt of the genre, but this is some vintage shit regardless. Foe should buy a crate.

Good player. A bit lazy on the ball sometimes which definitely cost us a few goals last season, but it's still a shame to lose him for nothing. Thankfully only spent £2m on him so the net loss isn't huge.

We'll need new cover at CB for sure. Ream is too old now, a good backup leadership option but nothing else. Diop is very similar to Tosin, loves a silly mistake. Bassey is absolutely top drawer. We've got some youngsters in the wings (De Fougerolles looks absolutely mustard for 18) but we can't rely on them.

Branthwaite to United should be enough to see them down.

Waffdon

It’s got Harry Maguire all over it. I’d never be signing a defender from a Dyche team. Not unless you’re set up in a similar style.

Shindig

Well, our first deal is done. Lloyd Kelly in for nowt. James Trafford might be the transfer story that drags on a bit. If Dubravka departs, we'll probably settle for Burnley's asking price.

The club believe it is just a matter of time before Branthwaite becomes an England regular and rate him in the same bracket as Harry Maguire and Josko Gvardiol.

lol.

They want the same amount as Maguire cost too.

Ben

They've agreed personal terms but Everton are basically telling them to fuck off? Isn't that what we used to call "tapping up" back in the John Obi Mikel days?

Baz

It could be a monumental transfer for Everton. Even more so than Bellingham for Birmingham, financially.

They don't want to sell unless it's a big fee.

We'll have had permission to talk to the lad.

They speak to the agent and sort all of that out before any approach is ever made. It's why you never see a team bid for a player and then the player tells them to piss off.

Waffdon

I have no idea how it works now after the whole Olise shenanigans last year.

Sounds like he’s still going to Chelsea. For double the price :D

Gray Fox

They were told Chelsea couldn't afford him if the bid was £111m, which is why it was so specific. Liverpool went in and Chelsea came back having dug down the back of the sofa with the required funds. Had Chelsea not gone back in, he'd be in red now.

Speaking of Chelsea, word is that release clause for Olise is only for CL clubs, so unless Liverpool or City go in for him he's going for well above it.

Baz

£35m release clause for Olise? Beam him up, Slotty.

Waffdon
14-06-2024, 10:29 AM
Nah, his RC is more now.

Chelsea not having a RC suits them. Means they can lol their way past FFP again since RC have to be paid in full. Palace will probably get Madueke or something in return too

We're in for Olise. I don't see us pulling that off but that might mean Minteh to Liverpool frees up the funds for it.

Gray Fox

Which one is Minteh?

Unless it's Isak or Bruno G I don't see anyone we should really be buying. If it's Gordon I might have to get on the FSG out bandwagon.

It's hard to tell against Dutch defences but he seems nimble and does the defensive work. Like a less snide (but still kinda greedy) Gordon.

Ian Maatsen to Aston Villa for £35m+

Good deal for everyone
