The very clever people who design these things have found a way to start getting around the rules to produce downforce as they always will. It's also a consequence of Mercedes having the cards 15mm further off the ground this year. You need more downforce to push them back down.

Not/less running in the wet is due to the ground effect, it literally fills the underside of the car with water and they float off the track. Granted it looks like they're being fannies because they also throw red flags for a bit of gravel but there is at least a reason for it. The mud flap test was also a complete and utter failure (I think the phrase they used was 'no measurable difference') so they may not be cramming that into everyone's talking points.

Tricky season after the summer break now. It's almost pointless to bring many more upgrades as there's little to be won, so Red Bull really could win every race in a season. When you bring in a 2nd driver who is closer in skill to your top guy(Rosberg) you get issues. The two will clash and your easy 1-2 becomes DNF.
