This is sort of the problem with making no effort to play football whatsoever. But, you know, keep on keeping it tight. I suppose this is better than the last outing against City.

Having to suffer through Oxlade-Chamberlain in a Liverpool team in 2023.
I'll base the scale of the Brighton victory off how big Taz goes on his pre-game post.
I may struggle to sufficiently compose myself enough from the lolling at Malacia but hold tight.

How is that not interference? Game’s gone.

If Walton is right (and I have no reason to doubt him) it's another example of the creeping liberalisation of offside. The power brokers want goals so badly.

It all depends on whether 'preventing an opponent from playing the ball' is deemed to include one's presence preventing any opportunity for them to even try making a play at the ball. If not, it's game's gone stuff.

At least Trossard seems to have fallen out of favour by being a twat [which is both a shame and a bit perlexing from a Brighton perspective].

14-01-2023, 04:01 PM
A lot of the problem is a lot of the players seem to just take the easy option. Instead of trying to play through their press, which is the way you have to beat it, they're putting it into midfield, the player sees no easy pass, just lays it back and it gets hoofed long. I've seen Klopp go mental at it about 3 times so far.
This 4-4-2 or diamond or whatever it actually is he's tried is failing miserably too. 36% possession and no shots on target in the first half.

Having not seen the game at all last night it comes as no great surprise to find out that with the game on the line Solly 'the great enigma' March Harry Kane'd what would have been the winning penalty into orbit. Not sure I've ever known a player with a stronger aversion to scoring. The ways he finds to miss ostensibly unmissable chances never ceases to amaze. How do you become an elite level footballer, primarily [or at least originally] as an attacker whilst having 0 for both composure and finishing?

What I'd like from him(and I think this is starting to show up more across the fan base) is to cut the shit.
Either there is money to spend and you're holding off on it out of loyalty to your players, or there just isn't any to spend at all. Either way, don't give it any cryptic answers and get annoyed at people for asking. Just fucking say John Henry said no money.
And player injuries is another. Time and time again we lose players and there's absolutely no info on how long they're out or even why. As an example, Firmino had was was said to be a 10-14 day 'thing.' Well he's now been out well over a month and isn't in training yet. When is Van Dijk back? Not a clue.

Starting to sweat it ngl, a few more speculative 30 yard crawlers being allowed to slip in by midget keepers and his honours list might begin to improve on Bruno Fernandes.

Will be funny to see who Potter leaves out of the CL squad for the knockouts. They can only register 3 new players so if they sign anyone else somebody is missing out.
I'd just bin someone pointless like the back up keeper. If Mendy gets injured then it's banter centreback in goal time. This generations John Oshea.
Racist undertones aside, it must be fucking weird to have a stand full of grown men singing a song about your dick.
That's certainly my take on it, and as a Leeds fan too. I just think it's a bit odd. It doesn't even fit in well with the rest of the chant, it's just shoe-horned in there.
There's something increasingly cringe-worthy about football chant culture lately (the last few years) to me anyway. A lot of it seems to be largely driven by little drips who mobilise on social media to make them up, so they can in turn stand around filming each other singing their new creations on the terraces to post back on social media for likes from the same contingent. Sort of a never ending loop of self satisfaction for the "banter" crowd. See also - "limbs", and everything that goes along with all that.
Now obviously I'm not saying I don't want new chants to appear for new players or people to enjoy celebrating a goal. I don't know what I mean really. I'm maybe just being a miserable cunt. I suppose a lot of the organic nature just seems to have gone out of it.

I know there's nothing original, and plagiarism comes from all-corners, but every club having to have their own version of Allez Allez Allez [Arsenal latest culprits at Brighton the other week] is very tiresome.
Come up with your own songs [I appreciate that one was lifted from Porto or wherever].

Everyone loses control of their limbs in a very spontaneous way that's not contrived at all, maybe something gets thrown in the air due to the sheer unadulterated and captured on camera emotion of it all. When you're watching ballers, limbs aren't far away
Social media is crap. Actual limbs is great which is basically celebrating because you've scored a last minute winner not because you're recording and want to show everyone how you were there.

I think from what I can gather in between the seething it's that although they have spent a lot of money they have pissed it away on shite and that there is no joined up thinking between recruitment of players and hiring of managers of which they have gone through a lot in the last few years.

I think the specific criticism of Kenwright, who is largely powerless in reality, is that he let the biggest bunch of tits in because they flattered his ego and promised to let him keep poncing around, where as more serious parties (who, nobody knows) would have elbowed him out.

My Everton supporting colleague told me someone told him Big Dunc was prepped to take over whilst he was on the pec deck the other day. Not sure what tier source scouse gyms are.
So basically it’s Everton fans indirectly criticising the players because, in their words, the board recklessly spunked a load of money on them but when it comes to actually protesting about it, they have spun it as themselves plus players plus Super Frank versus The Board.
Batshit cunts.

YouTube prankster Daniel Jarvis claimed he was behind the stunt, posting a video on Twitter that appeared to show him at Molineux.
Jarvis was handed a suspended sentence last October after being convicted of aggravated trespass over an incident in which he collided with England cricketer Jonny Bairstow while invading the Oval pitch in south London during Test Match.
He was given an eight-week prison sentence suspended for two years and was banned from attending any venue where a sporting fixture is being held in England and Wales for two years.

Well, at least one of those shots was the open goal Allison offered up, and the other goal went defender clearance, into attackers arse, under Allison's arse, which I guess counts as another shot, so I'm not sure of the merit of that state in isolation. My point wa more that it wasn't like they missed loads of gilt edged chances (and in fact came into the game with the pundits going on about how goal shy they were generally). They played well enough tee to green, and were unlucky to have their 'winner' chalked off, but the other goals were fairly fortunate to say the least. They just reverted to the mean yesterday in the absence of gifts.
