I'm gonna make a TTH team on FM23, or maybe add us all to an existing team - TBC - and I'd appreciate if everyone could make it more fun by choosing your own information.

Please take about 15 minutes to fill it in.

It gets a bit overwhelming when you get to selecting your attributes but I'd really appreciate it if you complete it as per the instructions for each question.

Just a quick summary of the ask:
If you don't want to share your full name, don't worry about it, but I probably know it anyway. You must put your TTH username.
Hair colour, length and skintone is for the 3D pitch lookalike.

Height (cm) and weight (kg) and foot is pretty self-explanatory.

Then your birthday. All players will be born in 2005 and 2006 so you're mostly choosing to be 16 or 17 at the start.
You can choose as many nations as you want. You won't be declared for any.

Choose as many positions as you like but try to be a bit realistic. Choose at least one to be 'natural' If you choose goalkeeper, you will only be a goalkeeper.

Choose upto 6 preferred player moves.

So, attributes. Believe it or not, this is the best way I could think to keep it balanced. Each set of attributes tells you how many to choose for each column. I appreciate its a bit of a pain but please persevere with it and you can mould your player exactly how you want him to be. You'll see something like 2-2-6-6-1 in the question text. This is how many 'ticks' you should have in each column.

You can choose anything for Hidden Mental Attributes.

There are 17 Mental Attributes. 2-2-6-6-1 = 17
There are 9 Physical Attributes. 1-2-2-2-2 = 9
There are 15 Technical Attributes. 2-2-5-5-1 = 15
There are 11 Goalkeeping Attributes. 1-2-3-3-2 = 11. You can choose skip these if you're not a keeper, it just sets your 'goalkeeper rating' if you do fill it in.

Then it's just picking your favourite/disliked people/clubs.

I've probably missed something glaringly obvious but I put the form together over loads of different occasions as I kept remembering stuff. I think I'm happy with this version anyway.

Again, I appreciate it seems like a pain to fill this in, but you'll only regret not doing it properly when everyone's way into the FM23 save. :cool:

Football Manager 2023 will probably come out in early November so please try to have submitted your player by Friday 4th November and as soon as I've got the game/editor, I'll start creating everyone.

I'll share what positions we have as more people submit (but won't say who until the big reveal with a screenshot of the team) cos it might help people decide where/how they want their player to play.

I may exercise some creative freedom if we end up lacking anywhere. :dc:

20 legends have signed up so far, and that’s not even including me. So because of the good turnout so far, and still well over a month before I’ll get my hands on the FM23 editor, I’m gonna say that I won’t be adding anyone who doesn’t sign up.

So if any TTH legends like Lewis, Ian, Jimmy Floyd and Giggles (the four semi finalists of the 2019 tournament) don’t sign up, they won’t be in the team.

I've decided I will create a team. We'll replace Bradford Park Avenue in the National League North.

As per the signup form we'll be starting with a bunch of 16 and 17 year olds. This is quite pleasing:

What you can do is set the contracts like 25 years and have a future dated arranged transfer to some other club for 2045 or some shit :cool:

You could even have some fun with that, have all the TTHers turn up at some Gibraltan club in their late 30s for one last hurrah or something.

(Had a little blunder with the editor requiring everyone to have at least one 20 position and kept making people a ST but I've sorted my formula out and all 'natural' positions will now be 20, rather than between 19-20, as 19 is only accomplished.) Whipped this up quickly this morning so some errors may have crept through.

And any gaps? Still need to create myself so will try to plug any holes.

If you hover over the stat for a few seconds, does a bubble pop up which explains it like in-game? That's my only suggestion.

While eagerly awaiting FM23 I've done some very non-scientific testing regarding current ability and come to the conclusion that 77 current ability is the sweet spot.

We won the league on goal difference after having a media prediction of 2nd, so I'd say it's perfectly balanced for National League North but should feasibly get promoted. And -10 potential (random between 170-200) should see us press on well into the second season in, hopefully, the National League.

I should stipulate that all players were created to have their requested positions but all attributes were just clones of Harvey Elliott. :baz:

Don't think I've done a non-league wonderkid style save since creating Harchester Uniited back when Dream Team was a thing. I recall it being very hard to keep hold of the players back then. If we're all high PA aren't we all just going to be trying to leave at the earliest opportunity?

I think that's where your loyalty/professionalism stats might help.

You could also lock people to the club for say 20 years on one save, then run it again without that to see the difference for TTH the club.

I think even with 1ambition 20 loyalty "preference to - play for tth fc" etc they'll still all be gone very quickly, so I'd say it's not worth fannying around with.

As it isn't a "proper" save I think it's best to put the TTH FC stuff in here. I'm going to start with a club update in what I see as the 'proper timeline(first sim run)' I'll then move onto the players.

Well here it goes. Welcome to 2050.

As you can see, the club raced itself straight out of the National League North and so nearly followed that up with back-to-back promotions but were beaten 1-0 by Rochdale in the play-off final. It was a pretty one sided affair too. No complaints could be had.
It should be said there was a mass exodus of members of the board in season one. 13 of us left in January and by the end of the following summers transfer window, only 8 remained.
By the time we got to said play-off final only Mahow, 7om and Niko Cee remained at the club. They all then left the window after.

As you can see from there it was quite slow progress. We had touched League One a bit sooner than I thought after having seen that 5th place finish in the National League. Though we clearly weren't ready.
After some very close calls of nearly falling back out of the Football League, we smashed one season and didn't look back. Fully established League One side. We got to the Championship towards the end of the run where there was heartbreak. TTH was 2-0 up at HT on the final day. One more goal and they would have stayed up, but then they let the lead slip and were relegated by 2 points, following a 2-2 draw.

As for significant managers, we've only really had two. The original custodian and responsible for our rise into the football league was Tim Flowers :cool: .

From there it was a litany of failures as managers would be lucky to last more than a year and a half. Joe Byran lasted a whole 14 days in charge before he was taken out back and shot. We even had Sean Longstaff have a go and fail.

The only other guy to come out of this with credit was Japhet Tanganga. Not only was he responsible for the promotion to the Championship but he gave us our only silverware when this happened in the same season:

We've never been past the third round of the FA Cup or the second round of the League Cup.

Unfortunately none of us made it to even the favoured personnel list as we were mostly all gone inside a year. Finances are 'secure' and the training facilities are excellent.

If anyone wants to know anything else do let me know and I'll grab it. I think as Baz is finding in his play through, the lads are all leaving and he can only delay it for so long. Whether the club being professional at the start of the game or not would help, is perhaps for another experiment.
