Just checked out the promo and its a great concept but poor execution. Those cards are stupidily overpriced. I can understand you are buying two cards for the price of one but given the cost of the top cards anyway, its a rip-off.

A repeatable SBC might have been a better option.

I bought Cavani for 205k, played the 5 games and then sold for 189k. Not terrible overall and I wanted the card. Not worth it for the defenders and the like. I have 17 other RBs who are just as good (Montiel, Gavi and Navas just from the same league). Fekir is probably worth it once he hits a negligible tax loss as you can knock it off in one match.

Over two weeks into Futties and I think I might be done. There's a grind that can be done but it takes far too long/isn't rewarding enough and almost every single 'upgrade' pack they release at the higher end of things is asking you to put more value in than you're going to get back. That 84 x 30 today being a case in point. I genuinely don't ever remember it being this bad and certainly not as late as six weeks before the game dies.

Taking the minimum value of each player rating on Futbin equates to 771k, but as I want to keep Capdevila we'll call that 700k+ Capdevila. Now to go and do some SBC's.

Next step was to build the first SBC, but annoyingly I got a dupe Griezmann as part of the 250 players that I had to do something with. I would have put him in a Dinho segment but that may involve using players not packed from the 250 and I'm trying to avoid that for as long as possible, so the 85x10 it is.

131k of my fodder across 22 cards went into this, so I need an average of 13k a card back to break even in fodder terms. Before we open it, first two tradeable packs to open:

Premium Mixed Players Pack - 80 rated was the highest although it was Coquelin.
Mixed Players Pack - Bugger all

Quick sold the bronzes and 4 silvers insta went for 300 coins, so that's our first 1,311 coins of the 400,000 back. :cool:

Onto the 85x10...

Veron again and another dupe 91 Benrahma. Overall fodder value was 120k, so we 'lost' 11k of fodder on that. To be fair perhaps better than I expected given there's nothing usable in it, but if you get a pack with no 90+ players in it you're gonna bone hard.

Yeah, I think you get enough to do that 6 times and the tradeable TOTY one 6 times too. So this will be dead at recouping coins as soon as best of Team 3 comes out (or EA realise it's worth it and pull it).

90 Segment of Dinho done with the dupes and other cards from this grind so far but the Rare Electrum was disappointing. Might clear 10k from it. Onto the above...

6 times might be optimistic as it happens. Done the 3 TOTW's today comfortably and sales (less tax) are now up to 101,725, but this is sort of where the problem comes in measuring this, in that it just isn't efficient to use only the 250 cards and any you generate from those in SBC's as you'd end up putting far too high rated ones into SBC's to get them to work. I haven't had to so far, but to do more of the TOTW packs tomorrow I'd need to, when I could just whack common golds into them from the Silver upgrades that are now so easy to do thanks to the 3 silver cards SBC.

That said, I've seen enough to know this is definitely worth it as the game currently stands.

EDIT: When TOTS' and more TOTW's are in packs or 81s to 84s go down in price it won't be. Not that I foresee the latter happening mind.

Think I'll end the tracking there - 1x92, 3x89, 7x88, 5x87, 1 x85 and 2x84 of everything 83 and above left over and we're into 82s after that (plus another 12 player picks worth of low rated crap).

There's more than enough 82s and 81s left to do the 3 TOTW packs from tomorrow (and more TOTS packs if you crowbar stuff), so I think you're looking at getting at least 300k in coins back from it even with the worst pack luck ever. Combine it with bronze, silver and gold upgrades and league SBC's (which are now easy as you have so many players) and you'll be living off that pack for a while.

Decided to hoover up league SBC's rather than chuck them into PP's as you'll get more bang for your buck that way. Involves doing some upgrades to get silvers and common golds but they're so easy now. Also reckon the 150 Rare Golds/300,000 pack will be worth it too. Equates to 1,667 a player rather than 1,600 for the 250.

Who'd have thought a fun grind would have come back via some of the most expensive packs in store. Cheers EA.

I've done it twice more since the first time and it was nowhere near as good. Think in one of them I only got 2 players over 90. Still, even with that it's definitely still worth it as it's such a good way to get rare golds and keep the grind going.

I started with 3.4m before the first time, I'm now down to 2.9m but must have done about 20 Ronaldinho segments in that time, plus a few other players so definitely value. Hope EA have it there when team 3 of Futties is in packs too, it'll be so much fun, if a lot less profitable in liquid coin terms.

This grind is absolutely nuts. Did have some packs going in but you can save so many cards from the 84+ x10. Done 15 player/specific icon SBC’s since last night and only have Alonso, Rooney and Zidane left to do now.

You can literally grind the sbcs all day without really effecting your coin balance. Eventually you run out of golds, less than 83 rated.

There doesn't seem to be any repeatable 84 or 85x10 in the SBC section though which does stop me seeing what menu grinding I can do.

You should be able to get decent enough team from just a few objectives and the packs they offer

Are they the good ones then? I've been churning through some SBCs/upgrades and played a few games towards the Sane and Boateng cards. It's funny how almost literally every pack is giving you something back.

For example I got my first ever TOTS from a bronze pack(Gabri Veiga). I will say either there's people doing the same as me, or just scumbags in rivals. I've played 4 games with gold Thiago Silva at CB alongside TOTS Michael Smalling. All up against a hodgepodge of different futties and icons. Managed to win 3 though.

Not bad for having started less than 24 hours ago. It's a bit attack heavy, but that's just how the cards have fallen. I've also been a bit unlucky with tradeable pulls. Only sitting around 50k in coins despite that.

I don't think any of the other icons make much sense to do. Other than maybe Del P, all of the attackers are probably worse than I've got now. Ronny is the exception but 33 squads puts me off. I'm not sure I want to grind a full day or two when I'll likely be playing Starfield in a week.

Annoyingly it ticked over to the new season too, so I can't get the Jota/Konate cards from what I can see. I think the only thing left to do is rinse through the futties player picks to see what I can find in there.

Ticked off two of the futties picks. First was Mascherano, Dupe Smolarek, Coutinho and Park. Took Park because Masch is a midget and I'm not taking that snake. Second pick was much improved. Di Natale, Capdevilla, Araujo and Sancho. I'd have loved any of the first three there, but Capdevilla is worth as much as the others combined and I need full backs.

Yeah after a few can confirm. The 85 x 10 is still alright and will let you repeat until you run out, but the 84 x 10 previously would give maybe 3-4 golds, now seems to be giving 6-7.

They've tried to put the higher rated stuff up but removed a lot of the 89-92 fodder TOTS.

Took my band of merry men(sans Jude) onto the friendly cup thing and lol it was a massacre. Crisp gameplay lead to many a fine goal. Won 6 of 6. The only "struggle" being the last game where the other person took the lead. His dancing celebration was the last time he was happy in the match.

Coming up against people with "only" full TOTS teams and the odd pink card just isnt fair.

I can get by for now with the defence. Cap feels amazing and Varane too. Clauss futties feels a little weak for my taste but it'll do for now.

That is the team ive managed to out together in a week or so. Im in division 9 having played about 20 games. Henry is amazing. I play a 433(5) with De Jong and Van Dijk swapping postions.

They're re-upped the 84 and 85x10 both for the same requirements again and both are unlimited repeatable, but they've also put up an 86+ x 10 that you need to submit a 92 rated squad for. And no that's not a typo.
