Some impressive 'professionalism' at both ends of the field by Italy in that U19 game.
Real shame they couldn't defend corners.
Alex Scott.
Sign him up Jurgen.
Chukwuemeka looks a player. Born in Austria to Nigerian parents. Top poaching.
Supposedly off to Dortmund.
There's some serious talent coming through at Villa. Chukwuemeka, Iroegbunam, Archer, Ramsey.
I've just caught up with the U19s action. France. :harold:

VAR offside calls are levelling up at the World Cup. Looks pretty mega.

There's absolutely zero chance that'll be a clusterfuck.

Yep. There will be zero controversy at any point.

Binning VAR altogether is still the best option.

The problems with VAR tend to be when subjectivity comes in and/or it involves guessing where someone's toe was. I don't think anyone's in favour of binning goal line tech are they?
I think we take football a bit too seriously.

I think we take football a bit too seriously.
We take everything too seriously.
Apart from the stuff we should take seriously. We ignore that.

Nah. I watched a bit of This Morning yesterday and we’re essentially that. News aggregators who then pass comment on the best/worst parts.

Can't believe they chose a video where the attacker is onside to demonstrate it.
Nice of them to wheel out Howard Webb for the demo.
Tons of cameras, sensors, monitors, tens of people all working together to determine whether an offside has occurred. Complete madness.

Probably for something like a 5% improvement on what a single bloke with a flag would manage.

As with 90% of management stuff - it's just bored people keeping busy for the sake of being busy.
It looks great, shut up you fucking bunch of gammon.

We're in the under 19 final at 7, against Israel on the beeb website.

You don't really hear much about Israel being a hotbed of talent.

Based on the first 18 minutes they're little more than a bunch of violent hackers.
Was just about to say they must think we’re Palestine.

St. George was from Palestine, wasn't he? :D

On the contrary, they actually have a few ballers.
England have been horrendous. I think Foster has got both his selection and tactics wrong.

Don’t mind Jimmy, he’s just aghast that they didn’t roll over as they should.
Who’s Foster? I thought Lee Carsley managed them.
Ian "Fozzy" Foster. Carsley is coach of the U21s.

Yeah, Israel's been hard on the press and it's working well. England finally got some joy when they started hoofing it. Keeping it on the ground just gets them swamped.

What would the actual England U19 look like if it was picked Spanish style? Would you have the likes of Bellingham, Elliot etc in there?
Comedy goal.

Not sure that Israeli striker could have hit that much worse after doing everything else right.

That's certainly one way to describe the bomb on that media tower in Gaza.

Congratulations to our young lions.

I've just checked and Ghana are, in fact, in the world cup.
