It would have been too if those in charge had trusted in the vaccine. They didn't and we are where we are because of it. Only so many times that can happen though and hopefully those countries that have stood firm over Omicron have demonstrated that we don't need to shit the bed every time a variant of concern turns up and we can get on with things instead.

Well, last New Years Eve we were sat in the house, not allowed to see anyone. This New Years Eve we took the kids to London to watch Disney on Ice, got the tube to various tourist destinations and had a nice sit down meal in an overpriced restaurant.

That's quite different and enough for me to be getting on with anyway.
