You have to wonder how it took until 2 hours before kick-off for Watford to realise they weren't going to have enough first team players available to fulfill their fixture today.
The postponement rules seem somewhat arbitrary at the moment.

How much are independent test results being tracked or is it a case of ‘good player x has a knock’, so we’ve loads of covid cases.

I don't know why any games are being postponed. If some players aren't available, play others. Play the kids. Field the coaches and support staff if you have to. Get fans out of the stands. It's not a dangerous sport in that sense.
Integrity of the game mate. This is the greatest show on earth.

I find it appalling the slack that footballers get given on this. Think of all the people who lose work / lose money when a game is called off. Unvaccinated players should pick up the tab in full.
randomlegend

Why do all these teams have reserves and all the age groups if they dont have enough players?
They have to have a certain number of first team squad player available. Which I think is reasonable, there's not much competitive integrity if one team is having to field their u18s against another team's first 11.
One of the gridiron lads can correct me but I'm sure the NFL has just said games WILL be played, unvaccinated players have to be tested constantly and will be kept away from the team for a fortnight if they get it. If teams fail to get it under control then tough shit, and presumably they'd (depending on the time of year) have to either use players from the practice squad or scramble for free agents.
Hopefully Richard Masters pulls the plug entirley ala Ligue 1 and I can get on with my life.

Different rules for vaccinated players has been a really good thing for them too I think.

Robertson just boots that guy. It's a red in the current zeitgeist, but it would be hard to actually do anyone any harm with that sort of tackle. More of a frustration thing. Thought the Kane one was ok in real time, but you can slow it down/stop it at a point where he's fully studs up, off the ground into Robertson's shin/ankle, which is far more dangerous, and a red card in 99 of the other 100 instances of such a tackle.

I don't think you will find many rational Liverpool fans who would argue with that too much it's petulant it's stupid it is all of those things and it deserved a red card but he's unlikely to seriously injure the player. I think the issue is with regards to the complete lack of consistency. Kane's was out of control and dangerous and if Robertson's leg is planted it's a leg breaker and yet am I right in thinking VAR didn't even review it. Same with the penalties both Liverpool and Spurs should have had one but for whatever reason the VAR and ref have decided not to give them and I cannot get my head round it when you see some of the other stuff that does get given.

Well it took me 30 seconds to go on there, pick a thread and see somebody describe van Dijk as a "walking This Is Anfield sign" and another praise the COURAGE of him taking a free kick so I'm not having that a few years of being good has cured all of them from being enormous fannies.
Undoubtedly they are. But, when you are getting twonked at home by the same team you want to take the piss out of 5-1 or finishing 30 odd points behind them in the league I think arguments like which flavour of shit do you want in your midfield Fred, McTominay, Matic or Pogba are more pressing questions.

I remember having some good #localissues Liverpool chat on RAWK when I was at uni there, recommendations on butchers that sold good black pudding etc, but they were fucking deranged on any football issues.
The most controversial iffy thing was them almost universally going mental at suggestions of "safe standing", cus Hillsborough. I understand why it's a sensitive issue, but I don't think having a designated bit where some losers can stand up and sing is some sort of insult to the victims or something. And the very fact I pretty much agree with the Liverpool fan interpretation of Hillsborough (police malice/incompetence) makes it even weirder to me that they'd act like terracing is inherently dangerous. Also some bloke in a wba Liverpool match thread referred to Craig Dawson's performance by saying "Michael Dawson is a dirty cheating cunt", so I quoted him and said Anthony Gerrard was an overrated hollywood-passing dickhead and had about ten people threaten to kick my head within about ten seconds.

We put up a pretty decent showing last night despite the heavy scoreline. Some decent football and some kind of attempt to go toe to toe with Arsenal rather than sit back and/or try to shithouse them. Quite refreshing.
Some of the Arsenal (presumably) daytripper fans are lol, mind. Hurling a barrage of missiles down at the away fans towards the end of the game, plus three pitch invaders, one of which seemed to want to get down the tunnel at the final whistle.

In fairness, Arsenal did get to lay the smack down on the Leeds U12s last weekend.
Does feel like the integrity of the competition is being somewhat undermined at the moment. Some teams playing every three days, some teams getting 2 weeks off, no real clarity about what the situation with covid is at any given club. I do think Klopp is on to something when he says teams should name the players that are unavailable. X first team and staff members always reeks of a few players and the dinner lady crew being unavailable.
