Played a bit of a player career last night and it seems alright.

Hard to really judge how it feels compared to 21 as I never ventured outside of UT.

Skill games seem a bit laggy/broken.

Common Gold/Rare gold = nothing
Board = far side of the stage flares
Walkout = lots of fire and flairs across the stage

Just played two rivals game. Drew the first and then won the second 5-2.

Two of the goals I conceded and two that I scored myself were from counter attacks after a corner.

I have it set to 1 on corners but it seems everyone not in the box is pissing about at the halfway line so one decent through ball and an attacker is gone.

Managed to win division 1 in pro clubs after a grind over the past few weeks in FIFA 21. This means the motivation is there to get FIFA 22 on day one and run pro clubs again. I played 20 games of UT in FIFA 21 and I dont think I have it in me anymore to compete in that game mode.

My 'normal' is picking a specific player or two 84/85 rated, mass bidding on them (on the web app most of the time so I can copy and paste) 10% below their lowest BIN and flipping them. Sometimes I run the profit a bit finer than that if its going slow.

I usually pick a player from the big 4/5 leagues, who has a decent nationality but isnt really meta. Last year I flipped Jose Callejon for months. The year before was Allan, even though he was meta he was in Serie A at that point so he wasnt as hyped as he is in the prem. You also get the potential for a nice spike when an SBC comes out.

Ginter, Pique and Aspas look like good options this year.

I've decided my mission early game is to get Kante. He's a player I always end up building teams around and makes such a difference in the midfield. Going to try and hold off doing dumb SBCs to raise the coins for him over the next few weeks.

Did a bit of Googling and apparently it is a slightly different game on next gen compared to old gen, which is annoying.

During the EA trial I was loving the Xbox One version, but moving to the PS5 (I assume the Series X is the same) has been a horrid experience. Players move sooo slowly, have the turning circle of a tank and lose the ball if they're so much as breathed on and passes go astray all over the shop. The graphics are somehow worse as well, with all of the pitches looking like they've had the grass drawn on by a child with pens that are running low.

I can't believe it's part of the same release cycle as the last gen one and such a shame. Feels like I've gone from playing the best FIFA ever to the worst.

Raoul has it right. Last year you got access to both the PS4 and 5 version when you bought, so I like most stayed on the PS4 one as it was essentially the same. I'm not sure if you can switch on the fly this time.

He feels that defending is a lot easier on next gen (as they have more animations) and that left stick dribbling is better on current gen. As such he feels it's a lot easier to score on the PS4 version. And it's a lot faster on PS4.

Just over halfway. The crossing objective is total bollocks. Seems more a mixed bag in terms of ability too - I've not had too many problems in Rivals but have been destroyed a couple of times when playing this mode.
