I think I was only the imposter once and absolutely smashed it. Igor my fellow imposter died instantly (to a meeting IIRC) and I spent the rest of the game killing everyone.

I don't really understand the question. It's popular because it's low maintenance, if you want you could pick it up for 20 minutes and get something out of it and if you've got a decent collection of people you may have a laugh.

It's basically a take on Mafia / Werewolf but it doesn't take a week and you don't get punished for active participation.
