The remastered Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 comes out tomorrow, Friday 4th September 2020.

It has same soundtrack as the first two games, minus 3 songs (Out With the Old by Alley Life, B-Boy Document ‘99 by the The High & Mighty, Mos Def & Mad Skillz, and Committed by Unsane) as well as a whole bunch of new songs.

The reviews are out and are very favourable: OpenCritic (https://opencritic.com/game/9440/tony-hawks-pro-skater-1-2) | metacritic (https://www.metacritic.com/game/playstation-4/tony-hawks-pro-skater-1-+-2?ref=hp)

The games are actually separate in the main menu but the skaters level up consistently across either game. You can also access everything from the start from free skate if you want to, so don't have to spend forever unlocking stuff if you wanna play co-op with your mates - 1-2 players locally or 2-8 players online.

As a huge fan of the first four THPS games, it's safe to say I'm very excited about this.

I don't play many games, especially on console, and I certainly don't pre-order them, but this bad boy was pre-ordered as soon as it was possible.

Anyone else getting it?

Or was anyone a fan of the originals, but have decided not to get this?

Here's a list of prices on different websites (https://www.console-deals.com/games/tony-hawks-pro-skater-1-2/?platform=PS4), if you fancy picking it up - or you can get it digitally, of course. PC people have to get it from Epic, sadly.

Oh and clever internet people scraped the filesystem and there were button instructions for the Switch, so that's probably coming soon.

So here I am; doing everything I can, holding on to what I am, pretending I'm a superman!

I'm thinking about picking it up. I've played through 2 but my copy died a stupid death years ago.

Pre-ordered tonight convinced I'd get home from the pub and get on it, inspired by a mate with that plan. I'm too knackered now to do it, but it's making for a decent weekend.

Goldfinger and Less Than Jake accompanied by the sound of grinding that's buried into my head (always disappointed me I never heard that sound trying it myself) should have me smiling ear to ear.

Doing reverts and wall plants in the old levels is going to take some getting used to.

That game is notoriously rubbish. If you had fun in that, you’ll love this.

Truth. Although it doesn't have the TMNT in it. Or Spiderman because he lives with Sony now.

Surely Hawk is 60, and still doing 900s

Looking older all the time. Feeling younger in my mind.

Seems I'm a bit too good at this... Completed it in about 4 hours.

That's my worry. You can really fly through those old games and most of it is down to remembering where goals are. I might wait for a sale.

Really enjoying this so far, and thankfully no chance of completing it quickly as I'm still absolute horseshit at it.
