Wife and I finally sat down and started sorting out a will last night. One of the questions we we're asked was about our funeral arrangements - did we want to be buried, cremated, ashes scattered somewhere, etc. And honestly I have no clue. I don't really give a fuck, I won't be there to experience it.

What do you want to happen when you die? I might use a composite of the best ideas for my own request.

A monster of a session.

My pops had made it clear for your years, he didn't want a cremation and he didn't want anybody preaching the name of that Jesus over his body. We had a herbalist do the ceremony instead and he turned up. He had a terrific send-off.

Whatever you want to happen, I hope there is someone who is firm and sticks to what the deceased wanted because you will have other family members trying to do it their traditional way and they get upset when you carry out the deceased wishes.

Any remaining useful bits scooped out then burn the rest.

Yep.

And as cheaply as possible. I know it won't effect me for my own but funerals seem to be an absolute rip off.

I want to die on Mars

And how do you think you’ll achieve that?

Well, the dying bit should be pretty easy, getting there, not so much.

When I die, you don't have to cry. You don't have to feel no feelings inside.

And how do you think you’ll achieve that?

By going to Mars and croaking
