"Next Wednesday's meeting has been moved forward two days."

What day of the week is the meeting now on?

Monday

Yevrah

It should be "brought forward" or "moved back", so I'd sack the person who decided to mangle the two.

I've put Friday, but thinking about it for a second it's Monday.

Definitely Monday.

Monday. Forward's the key word.

What's the experiment anyway?

I voted Friday without thinking too much but actually thinking about it I think Monday.

Oh and Yev is right.

I saw this on Twitter and couldn't understand why people were saying Friday when it clearly states moved forward. Forward being the operative word.

Is this a shit version of Yanny and Laurel that doesn’t excite anybody

Where does the confusion stem from? If you were talking in the past tense I'm guessing it would reverse.

I think it's basically what Yev said.

I can’t get my head around why it’s Monday. Explain please?

My thinking is it’s moved forward two days and was originally on Wednesday, plus 1 day would be Thursday and plus 2 days is Friday. Friday.

Oh wait forward as in closer to now. Fuck off and be more clear. :rosebud:

Yes it’s Monday!

Definitely Monday but they’ve made an arse of it.

I look slimmer on a Monday so I've gone for that.

Monday is the fattest day of the week, what are you talking about?

It’s Monday.

Without looking, I can bet Lewis would be one to vote Friday because why wouldn’t he?

Lewis
30-05-2020, 02:26 PM
Because of what Yevrah said.

I think grammatically, Monday is the correct answer, but shirley if you read that IRL, you'd assume, as Yev alluded, that the person was an idiot, but also that they meant Friday.

It's a bit like when yanks say they could care less.

Youd only think that because meetings are only ever delayed. Nobody ever brings a meeting up by 2 days for the hell of it

No, it's the phrasing. Things are BROUGHT forward or MOVED back. You wouldn't say 'the meeting has been brought back 2 days'.

Yeah that too you dingus
