Right, ok, so with life as we know it about to end the PS3 that I've used as a tv box for the last however many years has a new lease of life as a games console.

I think I only ever owned/played half a dozen games or so on it so my question is, what multiplayer (preferably up to 4 players) games are good for small kids? Does anyone know/remember? Is there an equivalent of Mario Kart? Should I just get them on the FPS deathmatches?

Hit me up.

You can get Minecraft on consoles and depending on the age of the kid(s) in question they probably wont care about how well it runs. Also various LEGO games and if they're a bit older then you can get most previous years CoD games for pennies.

They have Minecraft on kindles, but that seems a dreadful medium to play it on, and they're fucking shit at it. I would imagine consoles are better, but still not great.

I've seen that Sonic racing game, but as it's disc only I'd have to bother my arse to get it off ebay, which is no great effort but I haven't mustered it yet.

I downloaded something called Hamsterball which isn't as great as I'd hoped but is still decent, if a little metal and too complicated/difficult for what I would imagine is it's target audience. Plugging on with that and Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs which is actually alright. Saw some sort of Turok in a Ł1 jumble bin the other day and was (nostalgically) tempted to get it. Probably not appropriate. Might see if they can get on with something like Ico.
