The green party was the big "winner" in local elections in Norway.

They suggest basically a new system of trading. Basically money will get less impact in society and the old "my fish for your goat" kind of thing.

They suggest to start with local coin ( ex: London would get their own coin, Newcastle their own and etc.).

The funny thing is even though most think it's totally idiotic. A know and renowned economic says it is viable even though he thinks it would never happen because of too much "counter forces ".

What you think? Sustainable future?

It's an interesting idea, but there's too many occupations which don't produce substance in that fashion. "I'll teach your kid for a day if you give me a fish" is a tricky thing to make stick.

There's a reason that basically every culture invented currency early on in their progress. There's too many intangible services, as well as a massive imbalance in the value of items ("one car for 20,000 fish, please"). It's an interesting theory but I struggle to see it taking. Could be wrong though.

I'll save your foot for all your fish, forever please.

I don't even like fish. I'll fix your roof for your 18 year old daughter?
