87 Odegaard is about a quarter as good as his stats. I ground it out because the card looked incredible but it didn't take long for me to value him lower than the pack I could get from putting all four of him into the SBC. He has an uncanny knack of being in exactly the wrong place at all times.

I did Kimmich pretty much immediately last night, and he didn't disappoint. Went 7-1 to finish off my Weekend League run and ended up 11-5 with time to spare. The upgrade to Konate also helped - now he's 86 I can definitely feel the difference. The FUT Champs team is really coming on strong.

I only managed a Silver rank for Squad Battles so only got a gold pack and two premiums. First 7.5k pack and out comes MOTM Coates and IF Stindl! Not too shabby for a very basic set of rewards.

It dawned on me a couple of weeks ago that unless you’re doing it to see if you can there’s no point playing to Elite 1 in squad battles.

The amount of shit rare mega packs I’ve opened means I’d probably rather take the three packs you get for Elite 3 and ok, you get fewer coins, but you can earn the difference and more spending the extra time you get in the menus.

Just finished Acuna, gameplay was the best I've experienced all year. Was even scoring headers.

Decided to sell all the bronze and silvers I have for the expensive league SBC teams. If they do go down in price/become available somehow then I'll just buy what I need then and if they don't the league SBC grind is over no matter which ones I have. Should be up to over 750k of coins once they all sell through overnight.

Only thing I have left to do that I want to now that's currently available is Akanji for level 30 and I need 13k of XP to get him, so that should be job done this weekend and gets me right up to date.

Packed Shapeshifters Gueye in my FUT Champions rewards today. He looks an absolute beast for an 87 rated CB - I can't believe he's going for 30k or under on the market. He goes straight into my first owner Ligue 1 side. Also got a bunch of 83s and 84s, all of which are worth basically nothing for now. Hopefully they will be dropping a Mid Icon SBC or something that causes the prices to rise back up.

Managed to finish off Acuna late last night. Needed 7 wins so it took a little while and I played against some real dregs of the community. I also came up against someone in Div 6 with the best midfield I've ever played against in TOTY Kante and Prime Moments Desailly. Seriously, I couldn't get a pass through and barely made a chance for myself, it was a little depressing how outclassed I was.

The worst was someone I faced when I required just one more win. I went 2-0 down to goals from POTM Neymar and POTM Ben Yedder and he immediately paused and made subs, bringing on Argentinians for the objective as I presume he thought I was going to be a pushover. Second half, I turned it around and dragged it back to 2-2 and I was all over him. A couple of goalmouth scrambles in the 80th minute with the ball so close to going in and he was out of there - instant connection loss even with the score at 2-2, just to stop any chance of me getting it done.

Hit level 30 today and took Akanji. Also finished Bartra while doing Moi Gomes update. 3 of the upgrade milestone players left to do, but I'll leave those for when they can be combined again with a season objective.

3/4 wins needed to secure Squad Battles Elite 3, so I'll polish those off and that'll be it for the weekend.

Oh and Messi and Ronaldo now have 1,000 goals between them. Messi on 493 from 371 games and Ronaldo on 537 from 452 games.

So because of problems with EA servers this weekend, there were problems playing games at their official eSports qualifiers. Players couldn't invite each other to games.

So they literally made them play rock-paper-scissors to decide the winner and are using that as an official result. I thought it had to be fake at first but sweet jesus.

I went 14-6 this WL. It is so hard. I bought in 93 Lewandowski and he wasn't all that great. He isn't strong enough to hold the ball or properly and he isn't quick enough with the turn and shoot trick in the box.

If you took the game mechanics abuse out of it, he'd win tournaments regularly.

However he just can't keep his mouth shut. Now I agree with him in that someone does need to be that guy to the company as opposed to the shills like Castro(who I find utterly detestable), but he always ends up going too far. If he stopped at the line instead of crossing it all the time, EA may listen to him, but as it is they'll just keep banning him.

Case in point is the EA guys on Twitter. He set his fans on them a little while back and now none of them can post anything without the tirade of abuse and being called rats. Even on personal accounts.

I don't think it's going too far at all. He's an absolute cunt and has fuelled this hate-filled following who hang on his every word, and EA don't want any of that centred around their game. They can easily copyright strike him as his actions can be seen to be harming their product. It's embarrassing and an indication of how awful the FIFA community is when compared to pretty much every other major online game right now.

The FIFA community mirrors the game it is based on. EA consistently make mistake, after mistake and it drives me crazy. Simple things in the game, we just don't have. For example, working WL leaderboards. Which shows how many games I've played, won and lost in a simple format without using my fingers. Small things like this. I understand his pain.

Another frustrating thing for many is that they've found his accounts and banned them and him, multiple times within a few days, yet there's no contact with anyone who has an issue or any movement on fixing issues with the game.

I want to see if the strike holds, because while he's annoying at times, he wasn't doing too much wrong and I don't believe what he did infringed on anything not fair use. If he's doing wrong then surely everyone streaming the game is just as bad.

New objective group has been added for this weekend's WL. An extra player pick for reaching 10+ wins, another (87+) for 18 wins, and a third (88+) for 24 wins. Going to be very tough to fit in the time (and have the ability) to hit 18 wins, but I'll give it a go. 17 wins has been my highest over the past two games.
