Sounds like im not the only one who has to research certain words mentioned on here. As suggested, a sticked glossary would be useful

Binman - A manager being given the a job at a team, that he clearly is not qualified for (https://www.thethirdhalf.co.uk/showthread.php?2446-Ole-Gunnar-Binman-s-3-year-Man-United-contact&p=329338&viewfull=1#post329338)

Gombine - Common Irish insult to describe those who play Garden Soccer. (https://www.thethirdhalf.co.uk/showthread.php?2455-TTH-Jargon-A-Glosaary-of-The-Third-Half&p=331597&viewfull=1#post331597)

We need Hornet back to curate this.

Whatever happened to his TTH lexicon thing? I thought Ital painstakingly copied it over, but I guess that was to the old new board, was it?

Glosaary, the rare and disturbing outcome of the union of a Gloucester Old Spot and a Canary.

I see the word nonce thrown around a lot. The dictionary defination is a word that means a sexual offence towards children. Im guessing that still applies here.

Yeah that one's just the normal word for it.

I believe I've mentioned on the board before that a former colleague of mine described himself as one in the office thinking it was just a word for an idiot.

the better way to do this is to collate all the terms you want to know/share and then have a crowd sourced definition once they're all compiled.

FWIW we didn’t put them up just to “make a few quid,” they were just ones we made to order for ourselves and wear on the World Tour.

To me absolutely ages to make that website.

When I started using nonce casually (about 5-6 years ago--I'm fairly sure I have a claim to starting the casual usage off that is now RIFE), Girl (RIP) ended up calling her gran a nonce because she thought it meant idiot too. But that's the beauty of it. It's a fun, playful word that can cause so much offence.

Did we invent yoghurt knitter or was it brought in from elsewhere?
Yev did.

CHIMP OUT was brought to us by Wedge, who took it from a racist forum of the same name. I say racist, I seem to remember it specifically being anti-black, rather than generically racist, so there is probably a more precise word for that. They had their own lol glosaary as well. We should have merged.
