Alright gang. Let's party like it's 2005 and play some poker.

Anyone else a fan? My mate is a bit of an obsessive (poker society at uni, plays a big sunday tournament most weeks on pokerstars etc), and has gotten us all playing semi-regularly. As I'm an obsessive loser but also too lazy to learn and commit to anything more complicated (sorry for bailing on chess, phonics), it's pretty much the ideal level for me. I'm still quite crap but slowly improving. Barely understand pot odds and EV and shit like that, but know going all in on K 9 offsuit is probably not a good idea.

I think it would be pretty easy to play a little 6 person game online with real money if anyone could be arsed.

I loved it when I was at uni. Used to always play with mates, played online regularly, and occasionally entered a few competitions at casinos. I think it's one of those things you everyone gets into at some point, it's good fun.

I hardly ever play now.

Love to play around a table with a few beers, hate to play against people who take it too seriously.

I think part it's partly that once you've learned the rules and won a couple of times you can start to think you're some kinda shit hot poker shark mugging off your mates.

I then had the realisation I was crap and had been really lucky, but rode that out and have actually started to get reasonably alright. Did you ever watch pro stuff on telly or anything? Possibly showing myself up as a bit of a wrongun but I really enjoy watching the tournaments and stuff.

I'd be up for this. Used to play with friends at uni sometimes. I've tried online before as well but I always seemed to do better in person. My poker face must be good.

That play like it's the World Series of Poker blowing everyone out before the flop etc. I know the tactics but it's not fun poker.

I'm down as long as everyone is forced to turn their webcam on and aim it at their face for the entire duration

I could probably find a plug-in to play Poker on here with vCash tbh.

edit: That didn't take long. It's free too. I'll look into it next time SvN backs up the db.
