I reckon India will be, on average, the favoured nation but I wonder how much of it comes down to Hinduism feeling like the friendlier religion? This opinion won't get me very far in polite circles (although with my DEGREE in Afro-Asian politics I have some sort of claim to be able to air it), but post-colonialism just seems to be the 21st century elites taking credit for any good things that happen in their countries while blaming anything bad that happens on the actions of white people between 100 and 200 years ago (or sometimes on white people today).

It's not a very intellectually robust position, but it seems to be widely accepted by pretty much everyone.
