I did this yesterday afternoon and I have already completed every step and my bank account is £10 better off.
01. Download the Monese app using this link: https://monese.app.link/3TGt6TRqIT?invite=BARRY083
02. Sign up to Monese using your e-mail address and set a passcode.
03. Verify your account – you will need to submit a photo of your passport or driving license, and record some dumb video selfie where you read out a short line of text.
04. Choose the free Starter plan.
05. You will then be given your Monese sort code and account number.
06. On your actual bank account, transfer £50 (or €50) to the sort code and account number provided in the previous step.
07. Wait upto 48 hours. Mine took around four. The £50 will appear in your Monese account first, and then a few hours later the free £10 will be added. Your balance will show as £60.
08. Click on the ‘Pay’ button.
09. You will need to have your own number saved in your phones Contacts. Scroll down and click on yourself.
10. Type in £60 into the ‘you send’ box and choose next.
11. On the screen, drag the bar down (from your Monese account to your bank account, derp) to transfer the money.
12. The £60 will deposit into your bank account within 30 minutes, usually instantly.
13. Feel free to delete the app, or you could refer your friends and earn £10 for every one of them who signs up.

It’s worth noting that you give no bank account access or authorisation to the app so it cannot take money from your account.
