Since no-one else bothered. It's Cardiff v Wolves atm.

I do not understand these Friday games. I love a night game but they kick off so soon after work, have no atmosphere because most away fans can't take the day off and they always choose the worst matches.

It feels like they're used to knock out the 'each team must be on TV a minimum of x times a season' rules.

What is the deal with these 'DERBY DAY!', 'Red versus Blue!' etc contrivances Sky seem to be all over these days? I don't understand the logic of stacking a bunch of good (or at least box office) games together.

Friday Night Football is quite frequently going to be hamstrung by not being able to have European qualified teams in it, so I guess it's just Scudamore & Co taking a shit on the Championship

We'll really miss him when he gets fired by United and ends up at Bayern (fireworks ahoy) or in some pointless league.

Actually, having said that, he might just cling on long enough to be in line for a third Chelsea stint when the next firing is due.

Lewis
01-12-2018, 10:34 AM
The Bayern waxworks won't want him setting back their thousand year club, so it will be PSG (at a push), Russia, or a national team - either his own or some knobhead one with a load of money behind it. That is unless he turns United around, which could still happen of course.

Jimmy Floyd
01-12-2018, 10:41 AM
I think national team management would be right up his alley. No need for a 'philosophy', just a load of one-off games to be cynical about and loads of petty feuds to get involved in.

I'd love him to take over England once the Duke of Wellington is promoted to foreign secretary.

Nice to hear Jose Mourinho moaning about his lack of dynamism in midfield whilst leaving his fifty million quid summer signing out for retards. It's that sort of thing that almost swings some sympathy back towards the board not spending all the money he wanted.

Danny

No Schurrle in the squad today, we lose a lot in attack with him out. Praying for some sort of defensive performance but it hasn't happened so far this year.

Jimmy Floyd

Decent draw for us, few teams who we haven't played for a while or in some cases ever.

Scotland set up for glorious failure once again too.

niko_cee

Scotland already have a play-off place don't they (so their group is irrelevant as they were never going to win it)?

Jimmy Floyd

We should score eight or nine here. Fulham's back four and midfield are like the Maginot Line.

Seri is undoubtedly a good player but I'm fed up of him thinking this is the French league where you can take 5 touches in midfield on the ball and not worry about being hassled. We conceded in 90 seconds against City in the exact same manner.

One of them has to be the Ardennes. Who gets the honour?

Jimmy Floyd

I suppose Dennis Odoi would be the natural choice (he shouldn't be playing any higher than the Belgian second division).

Waffdon

Alonso is having one of the worst halves ever for a winning team. He’s ran into Fulham players every single time or over hit crosses.

Jimmy Floyd
02-12-2018, 12:46 PM
He does that every game. Probably the most overrated player in the world because he knocks the odd goal in. Emerson is far better.

Jimmy Floyd

Mesut Ozil misses out today with a 'back spasm'. Out of pure curiosity, I looked up last year's weekend where they were wearing the rainbow laces, and he also missed that game through 'illness' after having starred in a derby win the previous week.

Jimmy Floyd
02-12-2018, 09:10 PM
Yes, but I honestly can't think why. The limited charm that the Europa League has is that it's more of a level playing field across associations, e.g. a team from Luxembourg gave Milan a decent game the other night and earned the right to be there.

No one cares about 6th in England v 6th in Germany.

“I apologise if I have offended anyone from both clubs, especially Tottenham. It was a mad thing I did and I never meant to offend anyone in any way. I never meant anything by it.

“The Arsenal player was gloating in front of the away fans. He came up towards the away fans about 10m away and he is basically nodding his head and clapping at us.

“Without thinking, I picked up this banana skin from the ground and threw it on the edge of the pitch. I didn’t throw it at the players. It was just on the edge of the pitch.

“I am not condoning what I did and I regret it already.”

I was kind of close to believing him and then he said he wasn't eating a banana but he saw a manky skin on the ground and decided to chuck that? Yeah, sure.
