What will his legacy be?

Extremely talented footballer. Extreme wanker.

I just came on here to give him a bit of grief in the football thread. Well said. Detestable cunt.

The biggest giveaway about Neymar is that he goes around calling himself Neymar Jr. Not just like anyone does, it's on his shirt and everything.

He is the plaything of what I suspect is an abusive father.

Depends how much time he wastes at PSG playing against farmers.

Legacy? None whatsoever.

Did he do anything in particular or just his usual cuntery?

He's a circus act.

He’s a fucking quality player and loves a bit of shithousing. He’s going to retire with about 160 caps and 120 goals for Brazil too.

He doesn't love shithousing any more than a sheep loves being woolly.

I have no more qualms with Neymar as a footballer than I do with Ronaldo (who happens to be slightly more of a rapist off the field).

Neymar is the Snowflake generations footballer. Extremely pampered, can't take criticism and supports the EDL.

He’ll probably be given credit for when Mbappe outdoes Ronaldo too.

Will break all sorts of records for Brazil without winning a thing for them.

Needs to win the Champions League for PSG a couple of times or drag Brazil to a world cup win for any sort of real legacy.

You can say that about every top league these days.

This sort of shit is as nonsense as the people claiming Messi can't be that great because he never won a World Cup.

Aye, but when you are as ostensibly dislikeable as Neymar, you can only really back up your greatness with material things that matter. Same applies to Ronaldo, but he has, and hence all the baubles. I'm not sure how Neymar becomes anything more than just a very good player if all he has to show for everything is a bunch of Ligue Un records - so if he stays there the World Cup or the big-eared cup is his outlet. He seems less good for Brazil as well now he doesn't have to carry them as much (although he obviously tries to their collective detriment). Maybe 2014 was his time.

It really isn't. Messi plays for the best team, in the best league in the world. Neymar may as well be at Aston Villa.

Neymar also played for that same team and was better than Messi regularly. What's your point?

That he wasn't, I'd imagine.

None of this shit matters. Is the guy very, very good at football? Yes, just watch him and enjoy it for fucks sake and call him a cunt when he starts crying. Who gives a shit about legacy when you can watch him take on and beat the same man 3 times with 3 different tricks. It's fun.

That at the age of 24/25 he took a massive step down and domestic silverware at PSG won't cut it if he wants to be remembered in the same way as Messi or Ronaldo.

He may not want to be rememberd like Messi and Ronaldo. He may want to be remember like Zlatan, Henry and the rest of them in that bracket. Neymar is part of the 1%

Or, he wants to be as rich as he can possibly be. If so, fair fucks.

Messi and Ronaldo are unarguably the two greatest players ever in a sport that has been going for over a hundred years. That's a very high bar.

Spikey M

It is. But he's probably good enough.

And Ronaldinho and the original Ronaldo were better than both of them. Just enjoy players for what they are not the honours listed on their Wikipedia.

Nothing out of the ordinary.
