With that Mané offside/Firmino goal yesterday, I understand why that should be disallowed and am totally in agreement with it, but I thought there was newer more idiotic logic which dictates that you have to touch the ball to interfere with play (short of obstructing view perhaps).

In the World Cup final Pogba came from an offside position and jumped into someone playing the ball which apparently wasn't enough to be adjudged interfering. And that was with VAR.

lol at the penalty at the end. Burnt those jokers last year lads.

Doherty has stepped up a level. He was been great since game 1 of the season. He gets himself into scoring opportunities quite often, just needs to be more clincial. Asking that from a Right back is probably too much though.

She's so fine. We have a friend named Alex Scott whom, once we found out about your female footy version, have decided that he's "Alex Scott 2".

He really doesn't like it, so we then keep demoting him based on our present feelings. For example, the other day he was Alex Scott 5 because he forgot to bring ice to the tailgate or something.

That must be one of our worst halves in recent seasons. Southampton have been alright to be fair.

@Waff, I think Deeney had it right: De Bruyne and Hazard.

Last season alone, Salah. While I'm on Salah: I reckon he's on his way to Ronaldo-ing for a move to Real/Barca and developing into a bit of an egomaniac. Bit early to call yet, but during the back end of last season and the start of this one, he's had a few mini-strops when Mane has not got the pass off or whatever, and the team has been adapted to him basically not defending his own half.

Brighton do seem like the type of team that's going to spend too big on someone, probably from Serie A, and it become an albatross around their neck.

How you get Gross in for 2m and then spend 15 on Izquierdo is just weird.

I really want Knockaert to do well even if he does seem a bit of a moody twat, guys gone through multiple seasons of being too good for the championship and too shit for the PL as well as all the emotional baggage of the last few years. It's the same for Matty Vydra and Dwight Gayle, that glass ceiling must be so frustrating.
