It’ll always be the Charity Shield in our hearts.

Interested to see how Lampard’s Derby get on. I have a friend who is a derby fan and he is extremely excited.

Derby a rabble early doors. Shocked that Richard Keogh still gets games at this level, absolute bomb scare.

When nuclear war finally breaks out and we're all scavenging and fighting off the undead, Dave Nugent will still be banging them home in the Championship.

The mackems in the office are getting their hopes up a touch. Might actually keep an eye on them this season. George Honeyman is captain which sounds alright on paper. And in practice.

Not a single fucking EFL match on TV tomorrow but hurray the International Champions' C Team Cup will be on all day long.

At least I have my local to look forward to but I'm sure we'll fucking lose again the twats.

Nah, this dumbass league stops for nothing so we were without our best player for like 2 weeks lolol

Looking it up apparently we took a "9-day break" at some point in the MLS schedule for the World Cup this year but I didn't notice because we had a Cup match in that time.:dirk:

In 2014, when the US were actually in it, they took a "12 day break" at the beginning of the tournament as well.

Which again, fucking useless as these dates generally line up with the first (MLS) round of the Open Cup anyways.

Fuck Lampard though.

Frank Lampard must be the least dislikeable top, top player we've had recently. Certainly the least dislikeable person so closely affiliated with Chelsea.

Two penalties (in 96th and 98th minutes) saw Swindon scrape a 3-2 home win against Macclesfield. Not the most convincing of starts.

Was a good day for goals galore. Didn’t win, of course, but still there were loads of goals.

That is begging to be pushed over. I saw all the shit league goals on the telly in the gym, and it got me thinking how do you even approach new seasons as a fan of half the teams in the country? It struck me watching Rotherham get twatted, not least because the travelling fans will also return home to find their kids have been groomed, but apparently they have just been promoted so whatever.

Jimmy Floyd
05-08-2018, 06:11 AM
Their new sponsors are a boiler company. It's more and more of a thing now. When I went to Peterborough their sponsor was Mick George Skips, so naturally the mascot was a bloke in a hard hat, and the half time entertainment was trying to get someone with Down's Syndrome to kick footballs into a skip.

Chelsea XI: Caballero, Azpilicueta, Rüdiger, David Luiz, Alonso, Jorginho, Fabregas, Barkley, Pedro, Hudson-Odoi, Morata

Man City XI: Bravo, Walker, Stones, Laporte, Mendy, Bernardo, Fernandinho, Foden, Mahrez, Aguero, Sane
