No, I only have this one.

From what I've read (which is a lot) unless you're massively into swimming/fitness then it's probably not worth it. WatchOS 3 seems to be the main change and that's free-to-all.

I've never used one but that's all an android wear watch does and from what I gather, the Apple one does a lot more. Definitely in the respects of doing it on-device rather than just everything mirroring the phone,

I did quite a bit of reading on the nerdy headphone forums before I committed, they've got very good reviews.

I've always had headphones before but the good Chinese ones for £50 are all from aliexpress and I don't want to wait months for them to be delivered. The genuinely good western ones are all a lot more.

I have those (albeit for a MASSIVE £30 cheaper), I'd have never gotten them if it wasn't for maintenance grants/loans for Uni but they're genuinely brilliant.

The sound quality is amazing and the noise cancelling on them is bonkers, even without music.

Christ I couldn't do it. That said, I only listen to music on Spotify after I threw out my 600 or so CD's a few years back, so a 300 quid set of headphones or a tin can on a string isn't going to make any difference when it's streamed.

The last month has seen the purchase of:

A sofa
Dining table & chairs
New TV
TV units
New radiator
Coffee table
Rug
Washing machine
Dishwasher
Microwave
Fridge/Freezer
Desk
Side table
Misc gardening equipment
A million lightbulbs
And a seemingly non-stop avalanche of stuff like pots and pans, toilet roll holders, worktop protectors, plates, place mats, and so on and so on and so on.

I've got to admit, it is quite nice seeing it all start to come together.

My mate's recently moved into a new house so he's currently in the process of getting all that stuff. Initially he gave his wife, who will eventually be the money in the relationship but for now relies on him, twelve hundred quid to get a few household items of whichever type she fancied. When she came back with a coffee table and two scented candles to put on it he decided to take a more active role and now claims he had no idea there was so much stuff to be bought for a house. I'm not sure how you can live to your late twenties and not have a rough picture of how many things there are in a house.

What did you get £84 back from with Quidco?

You can use an app on your phone to control them so your old one is probably still perfectly usable, you can also plug in a USB keyboard/mouse as well, if needed.

Was a few things from the past six months or so, notably O2 and EasyJet.

And yeah I'm using my phone to control Kodi and a rubbish old mouse to control the android home screen bit, but it's not ideal. Plus the new one is white and looks good.

If you just use Kodi on it have a look for some guides and you can boot it straight into Kodi so then you only need to use your phone and not a mouse as well (maybe alright for a bedroom tv or something)

There's no thread for it so it can go here. The holiday thread reminded me I want to buy a camera for the trip. I was going to upgrade the phone but I'd say any decent dedicated camera is better, plus I'm probably going to buy mid range in the phone this time round so I'll have 400 or so left for a camera. Recommendations? I'm not into it enough to buy one of those DSLR things (though they're normally four figure price anyway).

Not that I know much about cameras, but I don't think you'll get much for £400. At that price range I kinda feel like you might as well just upgrade to a better phone or spunk £800 on a DSLR.

My phone is already very close to the top of the smartphone list as it is, but I always assumed any even crappy camera would be better than any phone as they can fit proper lenses and all in rather than having to make the whole case 8mm thick and having a smartphone motherboard and all in there.

If that's not the case though, I will give up on the idea of a camera as there's no chance I want to walk around with one of those massive lens jobbies.

That sort of size I was thinking (I don't know if that camera is shit or not though, I got it from Google image search)

You'll use that twice and it'll sit in the cupboard beside the smoothie maker.

I've made 'lemon creme fraiche' and 'black sesame' ice creams and a 'blood orange' sherbet (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sorbet#Distinction_from_sherbet) so far and they've been absolutely stunning. So much better than shop bought. The machine is brilliant.

Good buy.

EDIT: Also bought this book which 2 of the 3 recipes have come from. Looks retarded but it's one of the best recipe books I've had for anything.

Edit2: didn't actually link the book, whoops.

I wonder if black sesame ice cream tastes nicer than 'black sesame' ice cream?

It probably tastes sesame.

Good effort, but ultimately nonsense because that's not how sesame is pronounced.

Better than black 'sesame' ice cream at least.

All of which would be better than black sesame 'ice cream'

I did that to separate the flavours so it didn't look like it was lemon creme fraiche and black sesame together.

Black sesame ice cream is yummy:

It probably only works if you're Ugandan.

Yeah. That’d be weird.

It would, yes.

Those flavours are really not particularly out-there...

No, Lemon and Orange aren’t. Horribly pretentious in the way they’ve been named, but otherwise fine. ‘Sesame seed’? Nah mate.

Actually, Lemon and Poppy Seed is a pretty standard duo in shithousey circles, so I’m not sure why Lemon and Sesame has knocked your bollocks.

I bought an ice cream at the seaside the other day, but I got my money back because it had that weird freezer aftertaste. Then I got another one from another shop and it had the same. Maybe the whippy machines sitting idle in the cold all day does it, but fucking hell Randrew what's going on lad?

Blood oranges don't taste the same as oranges, so it's a worthwhile distinction. The other one...has creme fraiche in?

Black sesame paste doesn't take like poppy seeds. I don't think it would be nice with lemon, but I could be wrong.

Black sesame ice cream isn't common here, but it is other places. It's really nice.

Naval Oranges don’t taste like tangerines but you don’t need to specify. It’s a fucking Orange. Same deal with there being no need to list every ingredient. Your name’s not Heston, so don’t be a cunt.

I am well aware that my name also isn’t Heston, but I am still being a cunt.

I thought Nectarines were an Orange for a minute there, so I’m off to simmer down.

Blood oranges have a unique flavor compared to other oranges, being distinctly raspberry-like in addition to the usual citrus notes.

Worthwhile to specify.

If it's all just bitterness and negativity, the place will end up dead and buried. We need some enthusiasm and there's not been much of it around recently.
