Why do we even have the old warning system? It's not like we have to keep the area clean for new members or stop the SI forums blacklisting us as a toilet anymore, so just delete grumble and whatever else might breach the hosting terms and get a life.

I wouldn't have banned Harold, but I can see why he was binned. I can't see the point in handing out warnings for 'Gay cunt' and 'fat wop' on a board nobody knows exists.
To discourage it. That we're not trying to maintain an SI affiliate status anymore is no reason to become The Refuge. It's a marginally more pleasant place with outright racism and homophobia banned, so they are. I've been very lenient about it for a long time now, Mahow in particular has got away with a few 'faggots' because I didn't see them until a couple of days later, but it's just not on.
You know the rules, abide by them or fuck off.

You can say the exact opposite, my days not ruined by someone calling someone 'a faggot' but I wasn't even comfortable typing that out as an example, I like coming here every day, I don't need to see slurs flying left and right to have a laugh, we're actually quite funny without it. As a forum society we should be able to set an incredibly base level of decorum. I think Magic nailed it up until the point that he tries to get another joke in.

Someone gets warned for it about once a fortnight when it's worth points, way more people would have been banned if I hadn't made the expiry of points lower. I don't think anyone but Magic early on has ever got 10. Hammer got banned 2 weeks for being a cunt of a completely different variety.
