If you go to http://top50.topsters.net/ you can make a fancy list of your top 50 albums ever.

I made this one:

http://i.imgur.com/dfXm62q.jpg

No doubt there are some glaring omissions but I can't think of any at the moment.

Let's critique and compare.

Transplants

What an odd variety of music you listen to, Mike - Transplants, Natasha Beddingfield, Neil Diamond & Bomfunk MCs, to name but a few that surprised me. Outstanding work.

I'll try to come up with a list of my own but I can't even think of five albums at the minute, so I'm bound to miss loads.

From the other end of the spectrum The Digable Planets almost made my list. It is the only hip hop I still listen to fifteen years later. You might like the Steve Reich or Mali in C because they are both minimalist composers playing around with creating a pulse and both composers were heavily inspired by how effortless jazz sounds when it gets the pulse right. I like them because I train for 2 marathons and year and find rhythm based instrumental music the best for long training runs. I'm sure someone from hip hop has sampled them, I just don't know about it.
