Some big names there - Gomez and Tevez in particular.

I unbolded one because I thought it was Walter Samuels.

Dirk Kuyt though, let down.

Milito was on everything.

Maradona's team pumped full of the stuff, well I never.

Is there any indication of why all these weren't reported or sanctioned?

Kuyt has hurt my heart with that. No Di Natale or totti is good though.

I suppose if your game is running around like a lunatic you really need to be doping.

The download is just two excel spreadsheets with the results/which lab they were done in and the PDF pasted above.

Looking at the sheet, all these tests were done in 2016/17 so this is the latest stuff I guess?

Totti wasn't at the 2010 world cup. He retired after they won it in 2006.

Betametasone looks like a popular middle name in Argentina, doesn't it?

No England players is good.

It's the only not disappointing thing about that entire campaign.

Our players were on ketamine if anything.

SincereTheRebel

Im pretty sure if russia were at the world cup, the list would be longer. They had state sponsored cheating.

They don't have those documents, Nick Harris (@sportingintelligence on Twitter) does though and has done really good stories on it.

Watter Samuel? Presumably they mean Walter?

The methasones and salbutamol are treatments for asthma, and given that salbutamol is dished out like smarties to anyone that's ever been just a bit short of breath I'm not at all surprised that some footballers are taking it.

this is just a list of footballers taking relatively routine drugs with medical exemptions, not sure what the fuss is about

Mario Gomez probably needs these things for nervousness.

I always wondered just who much of an advantage these drugs would give you? 5 minutes more energy? Quicker recovery?

In a game like football, I dont think it would make a massive amount of difference. But i suspct in a sport that is limited in its skill like cycling. It would make a huge difference as you only have to pedal the bike. Correct me if im wrong .

+1, not sure what the point of this document is

If the 'relatively routine drugs' are illegal, then it is doping. If authorities know about the doping and decide to do nothing about it, then it is a conspiracy. Nothing to see here.

Or they are taking drugs on the banned list, but doing so with a medical exemption that's sanctioned by the authorities, so no doping and no conspiracy, just a whole heap of nothing.

Could be. Or not. Don't worry, I am not taking my pitchfork out just because someone posted some spreadsheet. That doping doesn't happen in football is very unlikely though.

Also, the abuse of TUEs is the big thing now when it comes to doping in cycling (ask Wiggins,) so they can't really just be brushed off either.

The player has done nothing wrong if they have a TUE. If the drug shouldn't be permitted under a TUE, it would take a level of medical understanding beyond what the collective knowledge of Club Moronics possess to grasp.

There's nothing to see here.

I'm sure TUEs are abused, but considering it's an absolute statistical certainty there will be players with legitimate reasons to need certain drugs it's total nonsense to start labeling everyone with one a cheat.

Considering how short the list is I'm inclined to think they are pretty likely to be legit, especially considering the drugs involved are perfectly reasonable treatments for the very common conditions they are saying they are for (unlike that Maria Sharapova one where the drug was incredibly obscure and very rarely used for what she said it was for).

Seems like a load of nothing to me.
