Porto have accused Benfica of hiring a witch doctor from Guinea Bissau to help them win the title.

Apparently, they also paid to not lose to Dortmund but didn't give the good doctor enough time to make it happen.

I'd absolutely love it if it turned out that Benfica actually did pay the man.

Seems legit.

They've had a European curse for 60 years so this is only fair.

I wonder if Glenn Hoddle put them in contact.

How do you become a witch doctor? Is there an apprenticeship scheme?

I think you just murder Albino's until you obtain magic powers.

Sounds good. And then people just give you money for influencing football matches?

Just thinking outside the box, but if you had access to black magic voodoo powers, wouldn't you just give yourself the lottery numbers for Friday's Euromillions and retire, rather than live in Papau New Guineau? It sort of feels like it might be made up nonsense and guessing otherwise.

I imagine Papau is probably quite nice.

The Tories cut the witch nurse bursary scheme.

Guinea Bissau is in Africa. Papua New Guinea is in Oceania.

Point still stands though.
