Final Fantasy IX. Lots of people loved it but I just couldn't get in to it.

Bioshock infinite, fucking awful compared to the first 2 games.

In what way is it that different that makes it 'fucking awful'? It's better than Bioshock 2 for certain, the novelty and newness of Bioshock makes it the best of the lot.

Destiny.

Absolute wank.

Hitman: Absolution.

If it hadn't called Hitman it wouldn't have pissed me off. As it is it was called Hitman and despite some nice ideas and a few good levels it was a bit of a waste of time.

Just didn't have the same atmosphere for me or story line compared to the first one in particular.

I'm struggling to think of many games that do.

Rugby League Live 3. Planned on getting it on PS4 but watched a few gameplay videos on YouTube and it looks terrible. Not even played it and it's disappointed me.

Apart from Jonah Lomu's World Cup Rugby 95 has there been a decent rugger game for either code?

Same could be said for Rugby 15. Now, the developers were lined up for the last Tiger Woods game til that got pulled. They used the work to put together The Golf Club which was mint. Rugby 15, an officially licensed product, was the follow-up. Looks pretty basic but, crucially, it plays torrid rugby.

Wembley Rugby League on the Amiga was the one.

Obviously chose that video cos Saints are bumming Wigan (albeit in a Warrington kit). Some things never change.

It just needs emphasizing that this was an amazing game.

Guys. They've re-released Rugby 15 with some World Cup boxart and are charging £50 for it. Get upset.

The most recent one has to be Lego Jurassic World. Its alright enough, its more the bewilderment as to why I bothered buying it in the first place.

With amazing commentary from Bill McLaren. Playing as Chinese Taipei was an education all in itself.

Hearthstone the first time around. Was just pay 2 win guff. There was hardly any community at first so unless your friends were really into it so you could theorycraft with them, you inevitably just lost all the time against other shitty designed decks but that had way better cards due to P2W. Now there's a lot of good community resources and guides around deckbuilding, theorycrafting and synergies, plus of course netdecking and streamers, so it's a lot easier and more fun to get up to a basic level of competence.

Call of Duty games after 2 are rubbish. The MP is wank, the stories are hilariously awful and the games give the players almost no agency. I'll give the first MW credit for the nuke bit, but otherwise they've just been unmitigated wank as far as I'm concerned.

Don't Starve got a big wrap from a lot of places I read and people whose opinions I trust, but it was just a masochism simulator to me. Ditto Minecraft, although I guess you can at least turn the monsters off and have the world's least social Lego set with MC. Terraria looked like going down the same path but once I stopped playing solo and just messed around with my mates I liked it more. But then as far as I'm concerned, almost any game is good with good mates so that's not an endorsement.

The Strong Bad series from Telltale was awful. I'd heard it was a return to P&C greatness from the 90s and maybe if you're a big fan of the series it was, but as far as I was concerned it was all the worst parts of traditional P&C games - plus you play as an unredeemable asshole. No thanks. Has put me off trying any of their other P&C attempts too.

Super Meat Boy just wasn't my kind of platformer. Appreciate the design but the endless repetition of the same piece of gameplay until you nail it just isn't my bag. I like to be able to make non-fatal mistakes.

I never got what was supposed to be fun about Bastion.
