Sounds like it'd drag the playoffs out when semi-finals and a final is the perfect amount after a long season.

I don't watch the National League though, so not fussed.

Assuming in the Football League it would be 3rd to 8th involved, sounds good to me. Gives pretty much all the clubs safe from relegation something to realistically aim for until the season end.

I would have a Wildcard Relegation Playoff for the teams that finish 12th-15th in all the Football League divisions. Keep them on their toes.
