Is he alright?

Arrested for drink driving in Florida apparently.

Not the first, won't be the last.

The mugshot is certainly not very flattering, he definitely has the look of a man who's recently had a skinful and just wants to sleep it off.

He's lost the plot. Body is completely smashed in. He should have retired a couple of years ago and gone back to hoping everyone forgets about the infidelity stuff (which they would have done).

He needed to replace one addiction with another.

Does golf just churn your shoulders and knees and back up anyway (I read once that ice skating is 'unnatural' and ice hockey players all have crippled ankles), or did he play it in such a way that he did himself in?

Jimmy Floyd

No, it was him (under his mental dad's supervision) taking it to ludicrous extremes for years. That was also probably why he played the best golf that's ever been played, so maybe having a destroyed body at 40 is a price worth paying, I don't know.

Do you mean he played too many tournaments or that he had a particular style (trying to hit it harder than he should have been... I obviously know fuck all about golf) that made it worse?

Look at that face and then look at the wife he cheated on. Fame and money really do warp the mind. He's like a mixed race Crazy Frog.

Between about 1993 or whenever he started his serious college golf, and about 2008 he was wanging it harder than anyone else and doing so (in practice especially) to a ridiculous degree of intensity. He also had a few swing changes after 2002-ish (his lol Ronaldo period was about 1998-2001) which made it worse, and in the later period had a coach who is notorious for wrecking people's bodies.

He could have avoided it by staying with Butch Harmon forever, and by not having a dickhead father who kept telling him he was shit.

He's probably too much of a brand to retire yet, if money's the big motivator. Just take a job commentating. You're not that man anymore.

The player, who was charged with Driving Under the Influence (DUI), blamed "an unexpected reaction to prescribed medication".

Just fess up you massive wuss.

Why do people dislike him so much? A DUI would be fobbed off for a lot of sports people.

Did he do much more than some extra curricular riding?

Successful, mixed-race person, in America, donning the shit out of aged white dudes at "their" own game? Can't think why people love having a pop at him...

Also he's shagging lots of porn stars and people are secretly jealous of him, specially I would think in your average American suburbia dreamscape (the kind of places where the people who play golf lives anyway).

Woods took a Breathalyzer test, registering 0.000 on it, and a urine test, the report said. The report noted the golfer was cooperative.

I read somewhere else he had a lot of prescription medication in him.

He basically doesn't have a back anymore. It probably hurts to breathe.

From my understanding, the downfall started once he was outted to having 20+ side caucasion females, but ive just read he is now ranked outside the top 1000 golfers in the world.

Injurys and other factors have contributed to his demise but jesus, mary and joseph. I didnt realise it was that bad.

The rankings are on a two-year loop, so not playing obviously means you're going to fall off them.

I have a long standing bet with someone that he'll never win another major. Technically I think I have to wait for him to die to claim it (instant thought when this thread bumps) but if I see the guy I made the bet with any time soon I may attempt to call it in.
