I don't know how to exactly define what a meme is, but everything I see labelled as a meme is pretty shit. Does something only become a meme once the joke has been exhausted? Is it just a recurring joke?

I enjoy most but I think that is because I am not really exposed to them, so I only watch them sporadically (in here mainly.)

Proper memes evolve over time, like Pepe the frog, that lol Finnish corruption of Paedobear, or those videos of people diving/falling through space. Captioned pictures are just that, and anyone calling them 'memes' should do one.

I do find some of the highlights of 4chan on r/4chan funny, so maybe I do like memes.
