If you lot are anything like me, you often find yourself looking at the Wikipedia pages of random footballers.

I've found Trevor Benjamin's page, and was struck by just how many different clubs he's played for (especially towards the end) and therefore how long his playing history box is.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trevor_Benjamin

A thought occurred to me, which is: Is there someone on Wikipedia who has played for more people, or who has a bigger box? Who has the playing history which involves the highest number of clubs?

So I thought that this would be an excellent case for the crack team of TTH detectives to figure out. Anyone got any ideas? Is there anyone you can think of/find who might come close?

Has played for as many clubs as Tricky Trev but holds the record for most Football League clubs.

Robbie Keane is cumulatively the most expensive player in history or something like that, due to being the subject of so many transfers.

Most expensive Irish player, maybe.

Louis Moult has quite a long list of clubs for someone so young. I think he's on ten and he's only twenty four.

I'd say Pogba has surely been sold for more than Keane at this stage.

Keane has played for most clubs supported as a boy though.

Supposedly the most expensive cumulative one is Di Maria.

'Hamez' will surely piss it if he leaves Madrid this year. He's already well over a hundred million.

You think he'll go for high 40's?

Almost certainly, but I'm not sure he'd need to for now. I read tonight that Zidane wants Di Maria back at Madrid to replace him, so he'd have to go for about eighty to stay on top if that happens, but mid thirties would do it based on my memory of recent transfers.

That's a heck of a career. Do you reckon he signed for the Brazilian third division club just to complete the continental set?

No doubt about it. Might mention it on the interview he did with the guardian. It's been almost two years since I listened to it though so I don't recall

Pfannenstiel showed immense promise as a youngster and represented Germany’s under-17s. By the time he was 19, Bayern Munich had come knocking, but Pfannenstiel had greater aspirations, even greater than representing the undisputed giants of German football. He turned them down in favour of embarking upon a truly unimaginable adventure.
