I normally love the final day of the season but with everything pretty settled already its a bit of a rubbish one this year. I imagine the Champions League chasing trio will all win easily enough.

Who else would love to see a full fixture list of games every Saturday at 3pm forever more! Football needs it.

John Terry claims to have 'negotiated it' with the manager, presumably by threatening to embarrass another contract out of the owner if he refused. The way to deal with all of this stuff is to ask yourself whether Roy Keane or Alan Shearer would have done it. Obviously this isn't a watertight rule for life, because you end up not researching smaller teams during World Cups because it's impossible to tell who the characters are via Wikipedia, but it works for potentially mawkish events.

Yevrah

I have seen in the football media that certain pundits (Graeme Souness) cannot understand why our players are tired. A pundit is not honest if they cannot forget their colours or if they try to hide the truth from their audience. It’s not my fault if their managerial career was very poor.

His post-retirement books are going to be miles better than the Alex Ferguson ones.

Thousands of pounds have been won in bets on Chelsea captain John Terry being substituted in the 26th minute of his final appearance at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

One bookmaker said it had paid out on three bets, with one customer claiming he had been paid at 100-1 on a £25 stake.

FA have to get involved now, surely?

I'd have thought most, if not all football in smaller leagues is fixed these days.

This one has been really obvious though. Club was bought basically for that purpose.

This sounds exactly the same as Pulis. Wonder if Sam pocketed the loyalty bonus too.

He should go back to Sunderland for the long-term. Neither party can really do better.

Shakespeare not done enough or will the late tail-off lose it for him?

Think if they were gonna give it him they'd have done it by now. Keep him on as assistant to Sam (as he was briefly for England)

Oh, wow. Allardyce jumping ship days after Moyes goes. My questions are: How long and how much?

Hasn't he said he's retiring from management?

What an absolutely shady bastard.Apparently someone close to him was involved in the Manchester bombing, which has made him realise he's got enough money and life's too short to stress over football. Plus he's really sad, obviously.

I couldn’t care less, I promise you. All I care about is celebrating with my Chelsea fans. Me and them have a wonderful rapport and have done for 22 years. Nothing that people write or say can ever get in the way of that. If that’s the way I want to go out, that’s the way I go out because I’ve been here 22 years, I’ve won so many trophies – so if I wanted to play one minute and come off, I would have done. I wanted to play 26 minutes because the shirt number means a lot to me and the supporters so as long as they are happy – and I was over the moon with the reception – I promise you I could not care less.
