Newcastle at 18/1 to win the league is worth a tenner.

Brighton may be too partied out for tonight, an unexpected draw against Bristol City follows a defeat on the final day to Villa. Newcastle three shitty wins but enough to surpass those in blue and white.

:nodd:

EDIT: Better yet, add a Chelsea collapse then that Tottenham double will be 113/1.

"Football....bloody hell."

Happy days. Norwich look a bit too far back from the playoffs too so presumably they've chucked it already.

Is Knockaert meant to be pronounced with the first K emphasised so much like this commentator is doing?

Yes, but only by smarmy pricks (and I'm a smarmy prick myself so we're talking really smarmy ones).

Tottenham will win tomorrow and win easily, scoring at least four times as the wheels come off the Chelsea bandwagon. Conte becomes Cunte and doesn't make preseason

Fixed. It seems more Chelsea like now.

Swindon could be relegated today against Scunthorpe, so prices have been reduced to £15 all around the ground in an effort to get a decent crowd in and some noise. There won't be any noise, ground was always quiet even when we were good. Probably just lots of boos at the end when we lose 1-0.

I might go though, for sheer bleakness of it all.

Foe

Funny really, because we started the season with shite results vs Fulham and Huddersfield and looking back now, that's not even nearly as bad as it seemed at the time.

Huddersfield and readings goal difference is so poor that 1 win from 3 seals it for us in all likelihood.

Why?

I played them in a couple of fms in a row back at uni. One of which was like a 15-20 season stretch. They played good football and had likeable players so developed a soft spot for them.

Plus, Newcastle are shit, so it's nice to have an interest in both ends of the premier league (when Newcastle are there...)

If there's a musical equivalent to the Spanish league then yeah. It'll be another nice little game and all but it's pointless really. One will win it or the other will win it but they'll both end up in the CL next year regardless so they can play for what matters to clubs that size.

Current top three are better than City but another window or two for Guardiola should see them right.

Bias as ever but we would have been out of sight if not for injuries (re: top 4). We're just not good enough to cope without a few first teamers. (Mane and Coutinho mostly). I'd rather we signed 2/3 big ready made players in the summer but I reckon we're going the youth route again. We need a few experienced heads who have been there and done it.

You laugh but it's true. Losing Coutinho was a blow, then Mane going ACON, add injuries to Henderson and being unable to use Matip for a stint too due to a bullshit Cameroon decision, it's a fair assumption.

Less we forget today was the first defeat with Lovren and Matip. Our problems this season have been 100% self inflicted so it's not as though we've been outclassed. Shit individual errors when defending and not enough strength in depth.

Are you saying that without having looked at the table? Liverpool have played two games more than all the teams around them and are only two points clear of Man City and three clear of Man United. And for Man United to finish sixth either Arsenal have to go on a run or Everton have to somehow pull back six points with two fewer games to play.

The most likely scenario from here is that Liverpool bottle it, as always, and finish fifth ahead of Arsenal and both Manchester clubs make the top four.
