Monaco 'Atleti' final hopefully.

Bit shit that the draw went that way as Monaco Juventus would have been a great final but at least we can't have a Madrid final.

I imagine it will be Real Madrid but I hope Juventus as they seem the most likeliest to succeed against them this season.

Hopefully Juventus, but Real will.

Juventus for me. Partly because of the universal law that states a club cannot retain the Champions League and partly because Real weren't great against Bayern, Monaco will concede too many, and Juventus kept two successive clean sheets against Barca. Plus it's about time Buffon and co. won it, so they might be hungrier than Real and Atletico.

Zinedine Zidane winning two on the bounce would have to put him in the conversation for bestest manager ever.

If he had any decency then upon doing that he'd give his winners medal straight to Kassai.

Got the tickets for the semi final return game. United v Ajax in a final would be very retro. And violent.

Didn't realise the Europa draw had been made as well. Utd have landed on their feet there! Must be the easiest knock out run for a good few years that.

Man United have always had it easy in draws. I can't even remember the last 'big' side they took on and beat.

He's not as big a mug as he appeared for us tbf. He's been fantastic in the Europa.

Nah, I made a nice comment earlier so I needed to balance it out.

I'll seethe when you become a threat again.

A threat to what?

My sanity.

As of right now United are still good for a laugh especially when the draws turn to defeats.

On the original question, it'd be pretty cool if cry baby giraffe won it again and broke the rule. But actually, I couldn't really begrudge any of them going away with it. All pretty likable in different ways.

Great for NARRATIVE.

Atletico knocking out Madrid then losing a fourth? successive final would be a bit harsh.

Gray Fox

Ateltico have lost their only 3 finals so far. It's just a shame the draw has denied them again being defeated via a Ramos header in the final.

Personally I'd rather anyone but Real win it. Having them win 3 of the last 4 would be a tad boring to watch as a neutral. I think Juventus will win it. They seem to have the only balanced team of the 4 left. Both Madrid and Monaco love to chuck a goal your way and Atletico tend to struggle to score in big matches.

Smiffy
21-04-2017, 03:24 PM
I've never really associated Atletico with scoring in many games period, let alone the big ones.

I guess Monaco would be my preferred choice from the remaining teams as everybody loves an underdog (before they become universally liked like Iceland last summer). Ronaldo is probably my favourite of the current active footballers so him winning anything is always cool too.
